The Savage Disciples is another uneven series for me. Some I have liked, some not so much. This book falls right in the middle. 

Cruise (Savage Disciples MC Book 6)

Evie wants Stone. Stone wants Evie. What’s keeping them apart? Stone’s stubborn insistence that he is too old and too biker for her. So that is kind of... boring. The only thing keeping the hero and heroine apart is the hero’s self-imposed martyrdom. And while it was done well, Stone’s struggle with himself and the sacrifices his lifestyle has forced on him, it wasn’t enough to build a whole plot on. 3 stars.

Ignite (Disciples’ Daughters #4) 

Quinn just needs Jack to finally sign their divorce papers so she can leave town again. But when she finally tracks him down at a biker club of all places - she remembers exactly why they ended up together the first time around. Ace - as he goes by now - has a motorcycle club and a job but that is about it. After leaving behind his heart and the only woman he has ever loved he doesn’t deserve much else - but the minute she walks back into his life - he knows that he will do anything to keep her there. 

I am always a sucker for a second chance romance but this was an especially fun twist - Jack “Ace” Weise is a badass biker mechanic and is all rough edges and bleeding heart and Quinn is just all cute and cuddly hot librarian nerd that just wraps Jack all up in knots and it is awesome. Jack really screwed up and knows it and is dealing with it but it is great fun to watch them deal with their issues and admit where it went wrong. Not to mention - swearingly sweet and sexy times abound!

Clutch (Disciples’ Daughters #1) 

Cami - or Camille as she should go by now - was born into the world of Savage Disciples MC and knows all about bikes, metal and leather cuts. But when Nate - or Nathaniel - cuts away at everything that makes her her - she has nowhere to run but home. Gauge knew the second that he met Cami that she was different from the girls who crawled into his bed - now he just has to get her away from her asshole of a fiance. 

As I continue my exploration of MC romances - I couldn’t skip this series. It had been recommended by a few other readers. I was fascinated by this story. It wasn’t necessarily my favorite tropes - but they were how the tropes were approached that I actually really enjoyed. For example - it had an accidental pregnancy. Which I usually hate. BUT it wasn’t the heroine - and there was discussion of family dynamics and infertility. And it was actually really compelling storytelling. 

But I also really liked the dynamics between Cami and Gauge. They both call each other on their bullshit and deal with real issues together and screw up and have to learn to apologize and deal with that. And I loved that.
