BAY AREA WEEKEND UPDATE
Hi Folks!
Here are a few shows opening up this weekend in the Bay Area!
"OMEYOTLHN" BY DREW FLORES
Drew Flores is a member of the Pistolero Viejo art collective and focuses on the culture of the tattoo as much as the design. His main areas of expertise are Aztec/Mayan/Chicano themes as well as traditional Japanese.
Cukui is located at 229 Jackson Street, San Jose, CA. Opening reception is Friday, June 14th, 7-10pm. Music by Victor Vasquez.
"MASS PRODUCE ORIGINAL THOUGHT!" BY JOE MILLER
Joe Miller's Mass Produce Original Thought! combines found, acquired, and artist-made objects with text and image to comment on the place of the individual in our manufactured environment. In this exhibition, typographic voice is given to a wide range of objects. The result is a conversation of forms that brushes aside distinctions between art, design, and poetry.
Empire Seven Studios is located at 525 North 7th Street, San Jose, CA. Opening reception is Friday, June 14th, 7-11pm.
