A #NCBD/#waybackwednesday look at the unreleased very first collaborations with @uyudrew (writer) and @rosshughes1 (colorist) from 3 years ago (😮)... We had a blast with this one. First time really getting to flex my sci-fi muscles and really trying out a bunch of different things visually.
In particular the cover art: if you know my work you know I love throwing in nods to classical art pieces: in this case one of my favorites from William Adolph Bogoureau, but with a futuristic twist. drew is a bro, family-oriented, and active. he is a soft boi but don’t tell anyone (it’ll ruin his Hard boi reputation). he is an amazing chef and can cook amazing traditional korean dishes, which he learned to do from his mother. he is extremely caring and loves looking after others. he recently moved to sulani, in an effort to grow and become the person he wants to be. he wants to find the one, settle down, and to continue to grow and experience new things with someone who will encourage him to be himself.
so he has nothing to do with me .
even at school, when he sees me walk his way, he slightly turns a corner, or walks right passed me, pretending like i'm not there .
it bothers me sometimes . i've debated over and over, whether i should straight up talk to him about the last things that had happened last year, or just let it go and stick to the flow .
he was my friend, but i couldn't force myself to like him because he liked me . even though he didn't say it to me, everyone else knew it . and i guess it's my fault for knowing about it, but not saying anything at all .
when you like someone as a friend, but that person likes you more than just a friend, it feels so awkward .
and you know deep down what to say, but you don't wanna say it because you don't want to hurt that person .
either way, i doubt he would've wanted to stay friends with me .
why can't you see that i don't like you that way?
