Some of this requires me to spelunk thru my like 2020-22 era shit just to remember what I was considering. I went into some of the aux relationship focused pinboards for Nobody's Daughter recently and I'd literally forgotten I'd had a whole ass Buffy/oc ship that I really was thinking of going forward with at the time lol

I think the first and most considered is Brooke/Faith which is kinda her metaphorical Angel Dating era just waaaaaay more messy and unhinged. That one is basically canon for Brooke's timeline (at least in ND) and the dynamics are just kjsdghdlk There's a reason I do the meme of them with Ron and Tammy 2. Brooke is a maniac just trying to stay on the wagon, especially when she meets Faith, since at the end of S2 of ND Brooke's mind gets Dana'd by Dru and while Buffy is in LA Brooke is back in Mosaic getting her brain put back together. The two girls bond really instantly and intensely because they're both troubled but it also leads to them being really bad influences on each other. Faith beats the shit out of her when Brooke tries to talk to in Graduation Day which is a factor in Buffy wanting to gut her like a pig lol. They do end up very amicable exes and friends but acknowledge they should probably not get back together.

I also ship Brooke with Spike because they actually have some commonalities in like taste and hobbies that would prompt them to actually get on and she WOULD be into his insane vampire flirting. Brooke has just generally spent more time around vampires and demons socially that she's better at understanding their social cues and she's also the voice of "demons are people. sometimes very evil people, but people" in ND, especially in S4. She, as the more slayer-coded one in the twins as self-halves metaphor thing, is more inclined to find his mix of monster/man immediately attractive and is less afraid of examining her interest. It also doesn't help that I extended the Gem of Amara stuff and have them doing a predator/terminator chase thing around Sunnydale (Brooke is usually the one who gets these kinds of scenes because it's just her Vibe lol), which is the kind of thing both of them would look at fondly as a fun relationship moment. Realizing this has absolutely been a crisis point because I like spu.ffy but sprooke/brike/whatever has legs..... but spu.ffy would be better for retaining readership..... but Brooke would think him chaining her up was cute and romantic which is so fucking funny. Like I KNOW regardless of how I go with things they'd end up best friends it's just that could..... develop into more......

I used to ship Buffy with Mateo who is an oc who's now kinda in limbo. I like him I just might wanna rework him a bit. He's a very handsome half demon who's mom was a potential slayer and his dad is like..... a 9ft tall red horned buff ass demon lol. They run a gym and Mat is VERY nice. He's tall, charming, kind, relaxed and a dancer. When I shipped him with Buffy the idea was to give her someone who would genuinely be a pretty normal ass guy type boyfriend but ALSO be able to keep up with her and understand her. He used to date Cordelia because he's Hot and she's Cordelia, and they're still very good friends. He's also ABSOLUTELY the kinda guy Buffy would've crushed on in high school. Like he's good looking and nice and ~deep~ and funny and soooooo dreamy dsjghsflddgfdslh god now that I'm saying all this I'm seeing why I shipped it. Maybe I'll at least have him be a Scott Hope or Riley replacement kljsfgsdf

I now kinda really like the idea of Buffy with my oc Kalevi, who is a finnish vampire who's sister was the slayer which is why the family was turned. Her crisis over how powerless being the slayer is re: your own autonomy/fate lead to her commit suicide and he took out his grief on the Watcher's Council. He actually gets sent to Mosaic by his demon friends to get therapy and shit for his obvious violent suicidal depression which is how he ends up in Sunnydale where he gets a job at VMP 66.6 (yes I am VERY PROUD OF THIS JOKE) as a late night radio host. He eventually meets Buffy because he just wants to help the slayer out as a bit of a tribute to his sister, but being apart of that lifestyle again is actually very soothing and stabilizing for him. He's a singer/songwriter/musician and has both that like... hot 90s-00s goth guy vibe and "friend's burnout idiot older brother with a band" vibe. Again he's kind of a type Buffy already kinda likes (broody, artistic, tall, a smidge lame) and when I realized that I was like "oooooooooooooh hehehehehehe >:)". He's very mellow when not insane with rage and very family oriented and will allow Dawn to paint his nails whatever horrific combination she demands. He just generally a very reliable person with a good sense of humor. In a universe where those two are dating he absolutely gives her shoutouts on air and she's listening in the cemetery waiting to kill his neighbors giggling and kicking her feet.

Related to Kalevi I'm now also realizing he'd be a good fit for Drusilla. I'm still fully working that one out but I do really love the vibes so I'm gonna keep stewing on that.

I also had Buffy/Syd in one of my pinboards which is just WILD. I can only assume it was suppose to potentially replace the S6 spuf.fy drama but idk...... Syd is a very bad guy but he also kinda has a code? He's kind of modeled after the psychological profile of a bomber-- so like, insane, intense, focused/stoic, risk taker-- and while he's usually pretty cold blooded he did take care of Brooke and wind up befriending her after she ran away post-Hemery fire. So I might be able to see what I was doing here but also WILD.

Delilah, Spike's child, is dating David from the Lost Boys because at first I was just lazy and needing some stuff for her background but then I just had to come to terms it would be easier to just have her straight up dating him then trying to make a knock off oc. She was turned at like 17-18 and he was turned at about 20 so it's a relationship that VERY much feels like immortal teenagers dating. He's pretty moody, possessive and emotionally unavailable/incompetent and she's a little needy, prone to drama and always annoyed with his antics. They have a very on and off again vibe. Spike fucking hates him and wants him to stop dating his baby lol.

Drewsilla is both an oc and Drusilla-But-Different and naturally she's with Spike but I also do love the idea of her and Buffy getting into some lesbianism. Drew, while a continuation of Dru's life/existence, is still noticeably different and her own person. She's more stable for one, and less violent but more devious. She would 1000000000% seduce Buffy for a Scheme and probably has a corruption kink sfdkgs

Kat/Ghuleh and Illyria absolutely have something going on. IDK if it's romantic but it's definitely hazardous to everyone else's health. Old ones should not be allowed to have situationships, ETL or insane sexual divorced toxic couple vibes and yet...... here they are......

Then I kinda peter our for now. A lot of my oc ships come from Nobody's Daughter plotting which is in shambles rn lol I also have some oc / oc ships like Mateo's parents, Brooke/Syd, Brooke/Heidi etc but my brain immediately when to oc/canon ships when I saw this and explaining oc / oc ships can be so incomprehensible. like these people are seen literally no where but my brain and i will not give you even 25% of the lore in this post, comprehend everything instantly lol. so I opted to focus on these. I also have ocs I'd like to give ships (canon or oc ) but I just-- no ideas yet. Working on it lol

Drew was in love. Drew had actually been in love her entire life, had never for a moment in her life not felt the burn of it inside her and as she’d grown she’d felt the shape of its form. Seen her love’s face in a hundred dreams and visions until she could trace it in the air, draw him on every page. She had known he was real and alive somewhere out there, he was a part of her, bound to her very soul in a way that death couldn’t defeat. Anticipation at their reunion had mounted in her til she could barely function. Then she had seen him and known and every decision after had been easy. Like breathing.

Her life before Spike had been tolerable, she had never fit in well with other children and unnerved adults. She did things, said things— unnatural things. She’d been taken to doctors. They tried to medicate her but she was sly as a snake and threw all the poison they gave her away. She was just happy her parents hadn’t been very religious, she didn’t think she would’ve faired well being prayed over.

thinking about spike and drew again..... he loved drusilla so much he did everything he could to get her back and then when he did get her back but she Came Back Wrong he loved her anyway and he learned to love her not just as a shadow of drusilla but as drew.

and then ofc she's fucking dying because of what she is and he can't turn her because of her weird vamp-human mix. he was already starting to mourn her finite human time only to have the process accelerated. he lost her, got her back and is now faced with losing her again.

brainstorming what a plot for drewsilla cropping up in s2 is and i think it's that having a human and vampiric soul in a human body is killing her so like that's why THEY'RE in town but like i need..... a magic hoo ha ritual or something that will fix this.

the thing with drew is that she's drusilla brought back by a wish from spike that he "had his drusilla back, alive" so drew is a human with a demon's soul in her and she's drusilla but way more coherent, more modern and much much squishier. she can't be turned because there's already drusilla's demon vibes in her and the turning process is usually human goo out and demon goo in, if he attempted to turn her it would either just kill her or it would punt out all the human and preexisting demon out of her to make way for whole ass new demon soul which is not what spike wants.

i figure the what's my line ritual at minimum keeps her alive for longer or if push comes to shove i guess i could use that as the whole ritual but i'm brooding on possible options for spooky rituals.

also buffy does actually end up helping them because after innocence seeing drew dying and spike falling apart over it is just too real. she can't handle it.
