21 - How did they become an adventurer?

taros - spent most of his life (childhood/adolescence/early adulthood, he’s like 20) raising himself in the forest after his entire clan was wiped out, but after kairon stumbled into his corner of the deep web woods on his way to have a Great Lifechanging Adventure™, taros got really caught up in kairon’s storytelling and the sheer force of kairon’s belief in himself. kairon fucked off in the middle of the night without telling taros so taros didnt get to accompany kairon but the wanderlust kinda stuck with him so he packed up and went through the forest trying to look for kairon. and now here we are

drexil - didnt really have much of a choice? he thought the only parental figure he ever had abandoned so and he left the college to go back to busking. and you know ya boi with the bad bad adhd gonna make some terrible impulse decisions. drex kept getting kicked out of places until he met dorian and aster and decided to stick around and now theyre 75% of the well-loved town militia

22 - Most amazing monster they killed/helped kill?

taros - we havent had that many sessions yet but DUDE THAT FUCKING SENTIENT TREE WAS TERRIFYING and i cant believe kairon dissed it to death. iconic. #Iconique

drexil - i feel like resident stinky chaos elf furry doesnt count. i mean as a pit fighter as a small child he’s probably inadvertently killed people larger and older than himself (and purposely on command too) so theres definitely more shit going on there

28 - What do they do between quests?

taros - loves to make things with his hands, he likes to explore, collect plants, tend to a little plot he left behind. if hes less relaxed he’ll keep to himself more but hes definitely looking around

drexil - drinking, playing music, fucking, or working out, i feel. he gets along with a lot of people in his town so he’ll go sit in pubs and socialize

3 - Biggest regret?

taros - probably not dying along with the rest of his clan? he has a shitton of survivor’s guilt bc he ran away during a fight with his parents and then came back to ruins, so………. at any given time he regrets either living or not knowing he should have gone back to help

drexil - theres definitely friends he made in the pits that hes been commanded to kill for the audience’s pleasure and he regrets those immensely. all the deaths hes been responsible for, directly or not, weigh on him equally bc hes a good boy who feels a lot. residually he still has a lot of regret for being literally sold by his mother in the first place but thats a whole different thing

6 - What’s their theme song?

drexil - i mean fuck you for introducing me to transcendental youth, because its Him, but also welcome home by radical face :(

7 - What fictional character are they most like? Was this an intentional or accidental influence?

taros - ok first of all fuck you Again, because i cant stop thinking about tavros nitram who i dont even think is like. that similar to taros? theyve got different issues?? idk i think hes more like hera in that Constant Fear way

drexil - reminds me of my other good good dead boy, [redacted] from [redacted], but this was definitely unintentional. theres also another buff hearty dude who died suddenly who he reminds me of but the name and face escapes me

13 -  If they can use magic, what’s their favorite spell?

taros - he likes to use druidcraft to amuse himself/help nature/grow his plot/figure out the weather. its very handy (yes its a cantrip but Still)

drexil - cure wounds is handy but he really likes comprehend languages

29 - Biggest positive and negative influences on their life and development?

taros - his family/clan getting wiped out was definitely big and negative……….. i dont wanna say nature was all negative bc he was just kind of. tending to himself and nature that whole time? bc he wanted to clean up the damage the fires from that day had done. meeting kairon was definitely a really positive influence on him

drexil - being a pit fighter as far as he can remember shaped him a lot of course. and then being on the streets after escaping sucked but it wasnt all bad because thats when he was introduced to positive attention and the concept of being a bard and of course then he met maturin! and that was great! and then maturin got kicked out of the college so that was. pretty devastating to drex. nikolai’s also been a good influence, although maybe a more subtle one
