Important Questions To Ask Yourself BEFORE SCHOOL STARTS. Want to improve your study skills and habits? Want this to be a successful school year? Answer the questions below. You don’t need to post the answers- just copy and paste in a document that you can refer back to.
Simply answering these questions and reflecting on your study habits is very useful! One of the main problems some students have is they don’t know where the problem is- what needs to be improved. So take your time and think about these answers.
Get advice from a young professor:
If you want to improve your study habits and become more successful at school, you need to identify your strengths and weaknesses. Answer the following questions as honestly and precisely as you can. Give as much detail. The more detail, the more you’ll be able to see what needs to change. Sometimes what you really need as a student is to be able to ‘study’ your own study habits- know what you’re doing exactly.

A- I am very organized, but I still don’t get the grades I want. I don’t know why.
B- I am not organized at all. I find it very difficult to keep track of assignments and hand in work on time. My grades should be better.
C- I am organized and I get good grades but I want better grades.
D- I am just not doing well at all. I just want to do well. I don’t even know if being more organized will help.

A- I am easily motivated. I wake up most mornings and feel ready for school.
