She didn’t want to be there, but Lisa knew there was no getting out of it. Dr. Jimenez wanted to talk about her prior job as part of some kind of mandatory employee health check, and she couldn’t really say no.
Keeping her hands folded on her lap, she sat stright up, waiting for the doctor to come in and ask his questions. Hopefully, she wouldn’t break down on him-it’d be awkward and she’d hate to explain everything.
