“I’m rotting in the goddamned ground.” He looks her over, snorting, and ambles up to the steps. “Thought you were off doing the same.”
He is friendly, open, almost smiling. The pastor making his rounds.
Lisa laughs, a little out of sorts at the comment.
“I, uh, I don’t have much left to rot away, I don’t think. Pretty sure it’s just bones down there now...You seem like you’re in a good mood today.”
Lisa moves back so, if he wants, Jimmy can come inside. It’s not like there’s a lot of change since the last time he was in the hospital, nothing new to see, but she knows that she don’t know him as well as she thinks she does.
“Any news to report? You hear more than I do...”
