Between 1973 and 1999 a study of the behaviour of polar bears was conducted by Dr. Ian Stirling from a camp on the Caswell Tower on the west side of Radstock Bay, Devon Island, Nunavut, Canada. A second observation post was on nearby Cape Liddon.
