CHARACTER DESIGN AGAIN!!! This time it’s an NPC from Fae’s game, written and run by @n64fan
Brief context drop beneath the cut.
We met this guy, whose name we still haven’t fully learned, really early on into the campaign. At the time, he was a regular old drow, and we knew he was a member of the Drunthir family, who we have beef with. During the first fight I did NOT think ahead very well and got myself sandwiched between this guy and a mage, and even tho the cleric kept healing me, this guy kept putting me down before my next turn. Eventually Fae just played dead so he could get to his turn in the order finally, upon which he sat straight up and nailed this guy with one of his poison daggers, killing the guy. Then Fae looted his sword, which is Fae’s current poison rapier.
THEN later on, the same guy showed up again, revivified! Great! We killed him again - it was a little easier this time. Through discussion, Fae and Celosia decided that they needed to prevent an easy revival again, and Celosia suggested perhaps removing his jawbone. Fae did that. The next time he got brought back, it was via reincarnation and he had a whole different face. Fae found this hilarious.
We didn’t get to kill this new version, unfortunately, because between then and now, our friend became a drider. And after becoming a drider, he stabbed the SHIT out of Fae. Like, crit stabbed him in a surprise round, almost took me down in one hit. I did art of that too, i’m posting it asap
Finally, and crucially, recently we were recruited to a rebellion in the drow capital to be their bait/scapegoat while they do important rebellion shit. Who’s part of this rebellion? UH. OUR DRUNTHIR FRIEND. SO! He wasn’t happy to see us, and while our characters weren’t thrilled, I was. I was so thrilled. He’s decided that he doesn’t trust us to do SHIT so he’s coming with us through this dungeon, leading to some very fun antagonistic banter, I’m having a great time.
And we still don’t know his first name. We’ll get there.
