This Friday morning is the release of the Drift Cowl. One skein of Non-Superwash Sock and one skein of Suri Silk (shown here in Rose Gold) from 29 Bridges Studio is used for this cozy cowl.

See you Friday!
Three more rounds, and then it's I-cord city.
Here's a swatch of the stitch pattern for the Drift Cowl, but in two colors of the same base (29 Bridges Studio Non-Superwash Sock in Overt and Aubergine). In the pattern, I discuss different ways you can change the pattern up because the pattern is just a jumping off point.
As a gentle reminder, Friday is the last day for the discount.
The Drift Cowl is now available on Ravelry and Payhip!
Photos of drifting sand were the inspiration for the Drift Cowl. The interplay of light and shadow suggested using two yarn bases in the same colorway. I chose 29 Bridges Studio’s Non-superwash Sock and Suri Silk in Rose Gold to bring this project to life.
From now until August 29, enjoy 20% off the price of the pattern, no code needed. In addition, $3 from each sale of the Drift Cowl until September 20 will go to the Trevor Project.
I generally only use 90% of the yarn that I list for a pattern (unless I state otherwise) to allow for swatching and being a bit off with gauge. For the Drift Cowl, I had 44g left of the Non-Superwash Sock and 16g left of the Suri Silk. So if you want to add a pattern round or add a couple pattern repeats, you should be able to do so without playing yarn chicken. As with any pattern, modify to suit your needs and taste.
The heat finally broke here such that I was able to go out and model my Drift Cowl without looking like a drowned rat. (My husband says that I am the only person that he knows that can sweat in the shower.) It is not easy for me to act like it is freezing when it is the middle of summer.
The cowl pattern is almost done editing! The yarns that I used are 29 Bridges Studio Non-Superwash Sock and Suri Silk in the Rose Gold colorway. Look for the pattern release in the near future.
Be on the lookout! The Drift Cowl will be released Friday, August 22.
And now to write things up for the Drift Cowl in @29bridgesstudio Non-Superwash Sock and Suri Silk, both in Rose Gold. I knitted up a swatch in Non-Superwash Sock colorways Overt and Aubergine to show how the stitch pattern looks in two different colors of the same base.
