My opinions on the 'main' types of diving:
Drift diving
Likelihood for me to do it: 7/10 dependent on location Looks terrifyingly amazing, I don't know how I'd react to feeling out of control though... I think people underestimate how easy it is to get separated from your group diving a drift dive
Night diving
Likelihood for me to do it: 10/10 I would absolutely love to do this! Probably abroad though because it gets so cold in the UK also there'd probably be a larger range of nocturnal marine life abroad.
Deep diving
Likelihood for me to do it: 3/10 The term 'deep diving' is pretty vague but BSAC tend to view it as over 50 metres as far as I'm aware. I'm not interested in diving to depths below 50 metres (150 foot I think) and am currently only qualified to 40m anyway, although so far my deepest dive has been 25m.
Cave diving
Likelihood for me to do it: 6/10 I'd love to do cavern diving, not so sure about cave though. The joyous feeling of not being able to see anything and being hemmed in on nearly every side sounds... just lovely... I would 100% become qualified though for cave and/or cavern diving before diving in caves though, one of the main causes of diver deaths (in the UK at least) is people diving in caves without training.
Wreck diving
likelihood for me to do it: 10/10 100% would do this, I've dived around a good few wrecks but would love to become wreck-penetration-qualified (THATS WHAT IT'S CALLED GUYS I SWEAR I DIDNT WRITE THE MANUAL OK?!?)
Technical diving
Likelihood for me to do it: 2/10 I mean - I'd have to be pretty qualified in technical diving to dive in caves/wrecks anyway, but I probably wouldn't become a technical diver otherwise, I admire people who do it but it probably wouldn't be for me.
Ice diving
LIkelihood for me to do it: 0/10 ITD BE SO FRIGGING COLD. WHY. NO. WHY. WHYYY.
Free diving
Likelihood for me to do it: 0/10 I don't think it should be banned but like... it's actually crazy. I don't know. I understand why people do it but still... mental.
