"Religious trauma" but from the perspective of a parent who weaponizes their Atheism to incite hatred to tell a young child that all religion is always inherently evil, encouraging the child to spread that same hatred to start unnecessarily hated towards classmates for believing in a God.
The things we have said in the past make me feel sick. I'm glad I grew out of that... We consider myself to be agnostic now with beliefs in my own deities that make the most sense, We could *never* be "mainstream" religious. But I think with how our dad raised us with his extremely anti-religious rhetoric, it harmed us in so many ways.
But I don't know if this exactly counts as "religious trauma or not." There was no real "God will kill you if xyz" sort of comments. Just hatred and encouragement to hate on religious people. If we if ever show interest in religion, we would be marked as "brainwashed."
Unsure where to exactly post this. Or if this is just a rare original experience.
