A priest and his angel
To say that Drifter embodied the personification of 'Void Demon' was an understatement in Lyon's eyes.
The other was like a brooding shadow, a ghost that silently prowled the halls of the Sanctum like it was his hunting ground, but also his home. It was comforting as it was macabre at times, yet this was something the priest loved about him.
This also came with Drifter sneaking up on him when he was at the altar, draping himself over Lyon's shoulders with the spade-like tail wrapping around his leg and ending up at his ankle.
His nose against his shoulder or neck, with his two bright yet haunting blue eyes staring at him from where he rested. This was better than the moments he stood in dark corners, only his eyes being illuminated in the shadows as he stood there like a gargoyle guarding a crypt.
During the moments where they held each other close, whispered words of sweetness into each other's ears, Lyon would also trail his fingers over the spinal appendage of Drifter's back. The skeletal structuring, the dark swirling tendrils and the long skeletal tail with the spade at its tip.
That spot on his back was a soft spot, a single well-placed touch from Lyon would have Drifter melting on the spot. The area where tendril and vertebrae met was another one of such spots, yet it did prove to calm the other when he was feeling restless.
His horns were another spot to soothe and calm the restless mind of his beloved. Once, he even got Drifter to sleep because of it, which was a rare sight considering the other suffered from insomnia.
Speaking of Drifter's restlessness, the other often hung around the darkness when he felt like it, like a wraith with unfinished business. It had scared Marie once into throwing a vessel of holy water she had been carrying, which resulted in voidly blemishes and a grumbling Void Demon.
Which they came to discover that Drifter had an aversion to some holy items, depending on the item, it could cause a myriad of effects like blemishes or forcing a transformation. Lyon had also discovered that some forms of incense either heavily aggravated the other or it would make his mind fog over.
Some of these things would be used in case of emergencies, something Drifter himself had requested. He was still a Void Angel, so he trusted Lyon to make sure that he wouldn't cause damage. The other items however? Those would not be used against Drifter unless the situation truly called for it.
Lyon would end up documenting those findings, writing with a voidplume pinion given to him by Drifter out of his own wing. An offering of love and trust.
It was one of his first voidplumes after the other began to embrace his otherworldly nature more thanks to the priest showing him that it was alright to. The voidplume was cracked on it's metallic surface, yet it glowed brightly with void energy whilst the dark surface was speckled with what looked to be little stars.
It was Lyon's most prized offering from the Void Demon.
He would continue to cherish his love for Drifter and his strange yet endearing otherworldly nature.
Here is my main creature, from the creature feature, featuring the creature!
His name is Drifter, an individual heavily infected with the Void. He has long since forgotten his own name, taking up the title of 'drifter' as his name instead.
He is a Void Angel, transforming into one during various circumstances.
He actively used to play the shawzin and sing, but long since stopped making music in fear of hypnotizing those with the melody of the Void.
He is a quiet and aloof guy, he doesn't know how to socialize but he is a reliable friend when you get to know him.
He has a tail! It's more emotive than his face and other body language, he hates it when rattles or sways, he'd get embarrassed.
He is in love with Lyon, the priest teaching him love and compassion, showing him there's much more than just survival.
Drifter enjoys plants and nature, having his own little plant collection.
He is an enjoyer of books and scriptures of any kind.
Drifter has fangs and claws besides his horns on his head.
His main warframes are Xaku and Oraxia, with him exhibiting the warframes behavior and quirks.
He hates sleeping and also suffers from insomnia alongside it.
He smells like ozone and dew.
Drifter does affect electro magnetic fields like a ghost.
He suffers from chronic pain.
His body temperature runs a lot colder than normal.
He is quite shy, but he won't ever admit something like that out loud.
Drifter isn't fond of bright lights.
When Drifter wasn't out completing missions, he was within the Sanctum. One would say that he was not meant for idle hobbies, because he was a harbinger upon the battlefield. He didn't care for those rumors..
He stood in a room, artificial light pouring in as he tended to plants. He liked their smell, the colors the petals would exhibit and the greenery that brought life to a colorless room. The way the flowers flourished under his care.. It brought a small smile on Drifter's face as he tended to them.
There was no combat gear in sight, for he was wearing something picked out for him by Eleanor and Aoi. A comfortable outfit for a comfortable afternoon tending to flowers..
He witnessed an orchid with a beautiful, vibrant pink color.. Another set of flowers was also blooming, a bush of Sedum in a beautiful red.. He was missing a pure white to round it off.. That was when he spotted them.. Lilies.. So wonderfully bright, like the moon..
Drifter would grab a book, looking through it to learn on how to make a bouquet.. A gift to his beloved..
He adored the language of flowers.. A silent language that spoke incredibly loud..
For he wanted to create fleeting moments of color, and he would learn to do so..
One in the same..
