We are thrilled to hear that Governor Brown of California has signed bill SB-1017 into law!⠀ This bill will now phase out the use of swordfish drift gillnets over a four-year period. The California drift gillnet fishery has caused immense harm to marine life off the coast of CA and is notorious for its high amount of bycatch.
