Emma closed the door, dropped her bag on the bed, and turned to face Killian.
“Just how many blondes do you know?” she asked, crossing her arms over her chest.
“Ah—I regret that the moment I said it. Mostly,” Killian replied.
“Uh-huh. I do remember there was that time with you and Tink.”
“There was nothing between us. That was a poor attempt to make you jealous. As was what I said earlier.” Killian put his hands on her arms. “You are the only blonde, the only woman for me.”
“Good.” Emma uncrossed her arms and put them around his neck. “I would hate for our date to be ruined.”
“Date? I didn’t know we had one planned for tonight.”
“I owe you a Netflix date.”
“Ah, yes.”
Emma kissed him before she went to the bed and pulled her laptop out of her bag.
"Unfortunately, we can't connect it to the tv because I don’t know how. We’d need Henry for that and he’s spending the night at Regina’s.”
“It’s fine, love.”
Emma took a moment to look around the room, looking at options for where to put the laptop.
“Curl up on the bed with the laptop between us?” she asked.
“Sure.”
“Sorry. I didn’t plan this well. I barely told mom I was staying here tonight.”
“Impromptu. I like it.”
Emma smiled as she set the laptop up on the bed. She made sure it could reach the plug in without tangling either of them in the cord. They each took an opposite side of the bed, on either side of the laptop. Killian leaned in towards the middle of the bed and Emma did the same, so they could be see the screen while still being able to whisper to each other. Not that they needed to whisper with only the two of them there.
“So, it’s called ‘Hook’ right?” Killian asked in a whisper.
“Yes.”
“Will I like it?”
“Maybe? You may not like aspects of it, but I think it’s a cute movie.”
“Uh-huh.”
“Watch it first at least. And if you absolutely hate it, I’ll never make you watch it again.”
“Fair enough.”
Emma smiled and clicked play on the movie.
A little bit into the film, Killian looked at Emma.
“Your comment now makes more sense,” he whispered.
“I definitely prefer you.”
Killian smiled and kissed her cheek. They continued to watch the film, Killian making comments periodically, such as the fact that he liked that the crocodile was an actual crocodile, would have been easier to deal with than Rumplestitlskin. As the moved progressed, they kept shifting closer together, the laptop between their legs, as they curled close together, Emma leaning against Killian who was propped against the headboard.
Once the film was over, Emma shut the laptop and moved it off the bed.
“So, what did you think?” she asked.
“I did like it, even if I am more devilishly handsome and I prefer being alive to being eaten by a crocodile. I do wish the real Peter Pan had been more like this one. Would have made many things a lot easier.”
“Yeah. Probably wouldn’t have had to go to Neverland to rescue Henry.”
“You did kiss me for the first time there.”
“Under the pretense of a lie.”
“A half-lie. I did save your father’s life.”
“Technically, but if we hadn’t been there, it wouldn’t have been necessary for you, too.”
“We probably wouldn’t be together now.”
“Sure we would.”
“You think so?”
Emma sat up and looked at him.
“Yes, I do. Despite everything we’ve been through, I think we would’ve still ended up here. Neverland never happening wouldn’t change that.”
Killian smiled.
“What?” Emma asked.
“Nothing. I’m surprised is all.”
“I know I spent a lot of time…insisting that there was nothing between us, but I was lying to myself. There’s always been something between us, since the day we met.”
“You said you didn’t trust me.”
“I wasn’t wrong. But things change, people change.”
She smiled and leaned in to kiss him. Killian wrapped his arms around her and held her, as they curled together on the bed, the laptop no longer in the way.
“No matter what happens, I’m glad I have you,” Emma said.
“Me too, love. Me too.”
Emma smiled. They fell into an easy silence, content together. It was the third time they’d been curled together on a bed with no other motives or plans, Killian being there for her when she needed him. He was something, someone, good in her life and she didn’t want to lose him and the Snow Queen’s plans worried her.
“It’ll be okay,” Killian said, as though he could read her mind.
“I know,” Emma replied, trying to sound sure.
“Try to sleep some and we’ll find her and stop her.”
once you get this you have to say 5 things you like about yourself publicly then send it to your 10 fave followers! :D
Hmm 5 things that I like about myself? This is actually harder than I thought it'd be.
I like my style, I like my sense of humor, I like my writing (even though I never really post any of my writing), I like my ability to come up with theories (maybe? I'm having trouble thinking of more), aaaaaaaand I like my skills with makeup.
Wow, I feel like that was a lot more difficult than it should have been.
