Trust? What an oddly frustrating word. It could mean anything, couldn't it? Interpersonal trust, but also competency and reliability. Trust under one set of circumstances might not extend to another. Zoe stared at him, trying to decipher her own judgement without the benefit of context. Or insight.

She didn't try for very long. Trust just didn't seem that important. There was only one way to establish reliability, and that was data. "I don't know. Is it relevant?"
