“This is not what it looks like,” Kili groaned embarrassed, hands covering his face so he would not have to look the elven man. Yet there he was, quite literally hanging upside down from a tree after having stepped into what had to be a hunter’s trap. Just his luck for something like this to happen the moment he got lost in his own thoughts and he hadn’t watched where he was going.

There was no squirming out of this situation, and with a sigh he allowed his arms to drop down as he glared weakly at the upside down picture of the elf.

“...Alright, it’s exactly what it looks like.”

Beyond appearances

If someone had asked her later if her choice was wise she'd have had to say no. Everyone knew elves were territorial even if it wasn't fair that they lay claim to large swaths for each of their kingdoms. Driving out other sentient creatures all for the sake of maintaining their precious status quo. So was sneaking into the forest of the kingdom of Rivendell wise? No. But then again nobody had ever accused her of being wise so really if one looked at it that way it all worked out for the best. And why was she there? Well, for the hot springs of course. There were other ones, farther north in the home of her cousins but really why battle the cold and annoying relatives for a moment of blissful watery warmth when one could intrude on the elves and get the warmth with half the hassle? Which is why she was currently sprawled, human-ish and naked in one of the massive pools. Enjoying as the heat soaked into her bones and making plans to fly somewhere with lava next time so she could get a good scrub in with some pumice. So distracted by her relaxation was she that she never heard anything but the typical sounds of the forest. @drippingxtears

She was a slim creature, and small in stature, her thin neck bent down to allow her to stare at the ground as she walked. A burning cigarette hung out of her mouth,  and the black smoke puffed from the end to swirl around her head dangerously.

Mischa hadn't meant to walk home that night, but her car had other plans and when she started it in the parking lot of the diner it did nothing more than cough. The young woman sighed to herself and pulled the hood of her jacket up quickening her pace in the hopes of keeping warm.

She didn't see the person in front of her until it was too late and the collided with a spark, the thin stick between her fingers smashing between them.

When she recovered, mahogany eyes shot up to the wall of flesh she had run in to, "Oh my god," the Lecter countess puffed, "Are you ok? I'm so sorry! If there's a hole in your jacket I can pay to get it fixed for you."

Harleen felt bad, they were out mostly due to her stupid nomadic nature and not being able to stay in one place for entirely too long for them being out here. In the heat, probably dying. what was worse is that he was letting her drink and he wasn't really doing much of it.

At first she thought she was imagining it. Even she could smell the rain in the air but she didn't want to get her hopes up in case it was some fucked up mirage. She was honestly about ready to fall over, her shirt drenched in sweat, her hair flat and sticking to the back of her shoulders and neck.

She tried to contain herself, because the wolf didn't like showing much emotion and acting like a child wasn't something that she was good at either but she found herself jumping up and down with Jace, laughing. "Fuck yes!" Harleen squealed and danced around him happily. "Finally!"
