               tyron and alcohol did not mix well in the slightest. first thing’s first, he’s a smoker. he wakes and bakes and is scarcely seen without a spliff of his own merchandise hanging from between plump lips. not to mention the fact that his honesty becomes amplified — painfully so. drinking in groups tended to end in fights, and drinking alone resulted in lonely nights with his hand for company. but drinking with her, with the one girl he loved (platonically?) more than most? it could only end with disaster, surely.                 he slumps, melting back into the couch in his surprisingly well maintained flat — it had been his nan’s first, and he’d be damned if he was to disrespect the home she’d both raised him in and gifted him.  “ so. “  the television mumbles in the background, empty cans littering the coffee table as cigarette smoke pours out from the open window. he turns towards her a tad, awkwardly clearing his throat as he abruptly changed the topic of conversation.  “ your boyfriend — he’s rich, in’t he? so he’s taking care of you financially, yeah? “  a quick sip from his near empty can, licking the flat remnants from his lips as he met her gaze.  “ but that don’t mean he loves you, y’ano. not like i do. “
