Driven by Lemons is a highly abstract comic about severe depression. Some of it looks like this:

And my understanding is that it’s pretty much a straight facsimile of the sketchbook of the author, Joshua Cotter. It’s remarkably coherent for all its abstraction, and really pretty stunning.
It really hits a good balance in my opinion between humor and awfulness. The two sort of weave in and out of each other in some pretty amazing ways. I ended up using it as one of the core works in my thesis because I love some of what it’s doing so much.
Anyway, it’s an intense read and definitely a bit tricky to parse out at times but well worth the effort imo.
