President Wins Your president, Kanwar Brar, hit the ground running this year with major projects that will benefit all Laurier students. Here are some of Kanwar’s wins: Implementation of Orientation and Transition 101 to reflect transition needs for students. The new fee helps us enhance our service offerings and programming in conjunction with Headstart to provide the best experience for students. Turret Renovation Project - securing funding through the support of the Student Life Levy and finalizing the renderings for the space with construction set to take place May 1. Stronger accountability and more transparency for use of student fees through negotiating the Protocol on Non-Tuition Fees and giving more power to the students Enhancement to the organizational structure with the addition of a new Associate Vice President: Clubs and Associations, Waterloo to reflect our multi-campus governance structure and providing better access to students.
