Florida Dog Takes a Drive
Surprise, surprise, the headline isn’t clickbate. I know, it seems almost impossible, but we all know Florida is in a separate reality far, far away from our own. Meaning, anything is possible in Florida, even driving dogs. So, how exactly did this pooch find itself in the drivers seat? Well, the story goes like this: a man left his dog, a large black labrador, inside a running car for an unknown reason. Once alone, the dog decided to go for a test drive of it’s own, switching gears so that the running car was then going reverse. For nearly an hour the car circled around a cul-de-sac with, from an outside view, no one driving it. But upon further inspection, the neighbors of the cul-de-sac found that a black labrador was the culprit behind the suspiciously self driving car. The police were then brought to the scene, where the owner offered them a fob to open the car, though that attempt was soon proven futile as the fob had a dead battery. The officers then resorted to typing in a code onto the keypad attached to the driver’s side door. So, what was the overall damage of this joyride? A treaded lawn and cul-de-sac, and a potentially broken mailbox. Key takeaway being, please don’t leave your animals in running cars. It shouldn’t need to be said, but look where we are.
