I'm making a major announcement that I'm having gender reassignment surgery once I meet with the surgeon and his team at Mount Sinai in NYC. His name is Dr. Jess Ting, trained by Dr. Marci Bowers and one of his associate doctors said once I meet with him & pass all his criteria I will then be placed on a list which I am actually already on but this other list is for confirmed dates. Obviously I do not have a confirmed date yet because I still have to get formal approval from doctor as to my situation but all the doctors I've seen to date who are all professional and very compassionate have expressed their optimism since I fulfill all the requirements of having gender dysphoria and I've proven I've been living full time now for 4 years, taking hormones 5 years and I have all my psychiatric and medical letters stating I'm indeed a woman and am in their professional opinion a male to female pre-op transsexual who needs to undergo the surgery as it is medically necessary. Once the doctor and the team agree and get insurance approval I will then be placed on the surgical list and the doctors will meet on a weekly basis to evaluate the time for the surgery. Once the date is set I will be having the surgery (bottom surgery) which includes vaginoplasty, formation of vaginal canal, formation of clitoris, formation of labia. I've been waiting for this since I was 16 years old. I am now 56 years old and pretty happy overall with my accomplishments and having family but I've been needing surgery for long time but I'm happier I'm doing it now then earlier in my life because I do have a family and a son I adore.
