meredith came to pick up derek in the hospital but because he still had surgery, meredith decided to wait with zola in one of the empty rooms. it was better to be there than somewhere in the hospital hallway. "zola, look at this! is this your doll? is this your doll?" meredith played with her girl until she stopped when she saw a man in the door.  "hi, uhm...we are not patients." explaining the situation, she handed zola the doll. "we are just waiting for my husband. is it okay or do you need this room?"

“why didn’t you tell me?” (heheheheh)

For a moment, Jo thought her heart was going to jump out of her chest. Even being a doctor, she wondered if it might actually happen. She took a beat before turning around. “What do you mean?” She smiled, shrugging it off. “You know practically everything about me, Link.”

“so… can we go eat?” (some fluff)

Jo dramatically threw her head back, filled with relief. “Oh my god, yes!!” She couldn’t help but whimper. “I have had the longest day, I’m pretty sure the only thing I consumed today was half a jello cup and a couple of tic-tacs.” Jo threw her arms out. “Help me up, I’m too weak.”

“If you texted me once in a blue moon then you wouldn’t think that. I know we have never been that close, because of our ages but I will always want to spend time with you.”

Ryleigh nodded. “I know that.” She looked down at her phone and back at Link. “Wait... even if I did something stupid?” She raised an eyebrow. “Theoretically speaking of course. Unless you want to know what happened in college.”

Lucy was surprised to hear Link mutter the words. The last interaction the two had had presented a very different version of the ortho fellow. “Well…” Lucy said, stepping towards him and sitting down a few feet away. “You don’t have to be.” She said, tilting her head and looking at him gently. Lucy paused for a moment, letting the silence linger. “You know, we never did get that drink?”

Teddy loved snow. It was her favourite kind of weather, it reminded her of Christmas and of home, and when she’d been in Iraq she’d promised that she would never take another drop of snow for granted. Teddy loved snow, but she was not impressed by the icy snowball that hit her chest. “What the-” She was still shaking off the remnants of the cold weapon, glaring at Link as she insisted once again, “You are such a child!” However that didn’t stop her quickly lifting up snow from the bench beside her, balling it in her fists before launching it in his direction. “Game on.”
