There are many PATHOLOGICAL DERMATOLOGIC CASES that are now being set aside because their dermatologists are not in their clinics. They also don’t want to go to hospitals because of more risk of getting the COVID-19. Thus, it’s the duty of dermatologists who can hold clinic OUTSIDE THE HOSPITALS to attend to their patients who are in urgent need of their care. Acute flare-ups of Psoriasis, Atopic Dermatitis, Tinea (Fungal infection), Impetigo Contagiosa (Bacterial infection), Hyoersensitivity reaction, etc, cannot wait for the lockdown to end before they can be taken cared of. The American Society of Dermatology has mentioned this. USA also has the COVID-19, more cases than us at that, and several states in the US are now also on the lockdown. But they’re still urging dermatologists to take care of their patients in their clinics outside the hospital both to ease the burden of the hospitals and also to allay the fears of the patients who are scared to enter hospitals and risk getting the COVID-19.
