It had been a crazy day at the clinic but his shift was far away from finishing. He was living in a house, with his own bedroom, thanks to Nessa’s kindness, and he had a lot to make up for so she would not regret her decision. As Lee didn’t have much money to pay for his own expenses around the house, at least he could help with general maintenance, such as fixing devices and furniture. That day, for example, he’d fix a part of the fence that was about to break. He completely ignored her chihuahua, as the annoying creature followed him around the house as he grabbed the tools he’d need, and then locked him inside the house with the other stupid dogs. Lee had just grabbed some wood, enough to fix the future problem, when he saw one of Nessa’s friends at the sidewalk. “Hi...” he said, waving with the hand that he was using to hold the tools “Nessa isn’t home around right now, I think she went to the supermarket...” he explained. He had never talked to that blonde woman, but he had seen a picture of hers with Nessa on the internet. @drmilliewalker
