My latest robot illustration. Drone 166 from the film Oblivion.

 I thought the design of that film was excellent and I have been thinking of doing a series of robot illustrations that all fit together with a limited colour pallet to go alongside my GERTY poster from Moon. Anyway here’s the first of hopefully many. 

(Interesting side note 166 seems to have a little drawing on him of Jack Harper without a head, presumably drawn by the man himself, which is never explained in the film but does draw similarities with GERTY who is covered with post it notes and scrawls from Sam Bell who is in a not too dissimilar situation to Jack. Sci-Fi thoughts over)

What I took away from Oblivion: a but-ton of Tom Cruise’s, a main villain Drone 166 and a splash of Morgan Freeman… All mixed together with a triangle GLaDOS floating in the sky. Confusing? Yup.
