So, @nemoofunknownparadigm made this post about Reactor drones- and I let my brain run for a fair bit while thinking about the Disassembly Drone version of this variant-
so, allow me to introduce you to: Reactor Disassembly Drones, the silent predator
as mentioned multiple times, due to a combination of not speaking due to speaking leaving the mouth open for too long, and underdeveloped voice boxes in general, they are mostly mute-, which is where the nickname “The silent predator” comes from, as even if their Geiger Counter clicking seems too noisy for such a title, they can disable the clicking, and do so when actually trying to be stealthy-
the echoing clicks that sound when gliding or circling the sky had also earning them another nickname, “The Clicking Doom”, and Reactor Worker’s have a wild rumor that Reactor DD’s are omens of death, as it seems that there’s only one [their one of the few DD variants where the striping doesn’t vary from individual to individual, so sightings of them tend to get mixed up as being only one-], and they only seem to go for sickly or weak Reactor Workers [their Geiger Counter directs them to workers with the highest amount of radiation poisoning, as that’s how they get the radiated material that gives their acid its radioactive properties, it just so happens that those workers are normally sickly or weak-]
having traits of hyenas and vultures, traditional carrion eaters, and having a very sort of wide ranging and gliding/circling flying pattern only heightens these rumors, and most Reactor Workers claim that their clicking is an omen is itself, as they cannot recognize it as a Geiger Counter most times due to how Reactor DD’s alter the clicking’s pitch, speed, frequency and tone for communication purposes-, since these clicks carry so well in the still and toxic air, despite seemingly being isolated from each other, they actually communicate quite often!, think of their clicking like a wolves howling in a way-
the arid and acidic and toxic air of Chernobyl-6, the sixth planet in the nine planet system that Copper-9 resides in, does Reactor Disassembly Drones no favors, while their worker counterparts are able to survive without major health issues, albeit unhappily, Reactor DD’s unfortunately often suffer more major health issues due to their organic bits and their consumption of radioactive material and despite to the air and clouds of smoke for too long-, leading to Asthma being rampant due to the strain on their venting systems, and the drone version of POTs is another common condition due to the strain on their cores- other conditions can occur, but these two are the most common-, could be worse though, they might be able to swim, but most avoid it, the sludge like radioactive water isn’t pleasant, and it only aggravates already existing conditions and plummets their health-, they are one variant of DD that you could safely remove from their home planet and could thrive elsewhere-, they’d let you too, please, take as many home as you want, they don’t want to live on a health hazard of a planet anymore-
WOW- longest yap yet I think lol-, and I- this kinda got a little sad huh?-, but we can’t have everything be sunshine and rainbows, and let’s be real, living on a radioactive planet with the most toxic atmosphere in the system would be like a living hell, even for drones that reluctantly adapted to it-
gonna do Gladiator Disassembly Drones and Watchmen Disassembly Drones next-, I already know which character I’ll be taking inspo from for Gladiator, and I know which animals Watchmen will take traits from- [Tasmanian Tiger traited DD anybody?-]
I had a idea for a drone variant high temp drones, drones designed for high temperature environments like steel mills or extremely hot planets.
Ooo, good idea!
Drone Archetypes
[+++Salamanders+++]
Salamander drones, name after the old myth of the amphibians being fire proof, were designed to be able to withstand high temperatures as to replace human workers in extreme heat environments and jobs that work with molten metals. Better for a drone to burst into flame than a humans (too much paperwork and lawsuits).
Salamander drones are constructed in a similar design to standard workers with the deviation being to their frames, which are much larger and broad as to support a robust cooling system and to carry a larger heat sink to channel and bleed off accumulated heat. As an additional precaution, these drones would be equipped with inbuilt fire extinguishers in order to combat any fires that break out, be it structures or each other. In emergencies, these drones are capable of explosively venting by opening up their internals to purge themselves of all accumulated heat. This would be a last ditch effort to cool themselves should their temperatures reach critical levels. Venting in such a way places too much stress on their cooling system and can cause it to burn out.
They would be constructed from heat resistant materials such as tungsten alloys and covered in aluminizes fabrics to further increase their resilience to ambient heat and to lower their changes of catching fire.
Though, a flaw the Salamander Drones have is that due to their constant exposure to extreme heat, it causes their batteries to deteriorate at an accelerated rate. Which requires semi-frequent downtime to change their batteries. At the same time, the heat also increases the power output by their batteries (since at the core of all batteries are chemical reactions and heats increases the rate of those reactions) leading to all Salamander Drones to be in a constant state of hyperactivity. Always rushing from job to job, bouncing on the heels of their feet when being given new order and refusing to remain still for more than a few seconds. The only time a Salamander Drones is calm is after a battery change, though that doesn’t last for long.
Disassembly Salamanders are mechanical demons. Their fire extinguishers replace within tanks of molten metal which they deploy to create obstacles or to trap prey. They do not fly but instead burrow beneath the ground, using blasts of concentrated heat to metal rock and dirt.
So, me, @nemoofunknownparadigm & @abyssalshade have been making up drone variants, and recently I’ve been building onto lore for the Disassembly Drone versions of the variants, although I’ll probably also do the Worker Drone versions too-
Because there’s a lot of lore, I decided to revamp the blog from “Copper-9 Chronicler” to “SystemTen”, which is the name I’ve given the color system that Copper-9 and its sister planets reside in-, this post will also act as a master post, and making a master post like this + in general the way I’ve been building lore is inspired by @fandom-hopping and his Bismuth [I think that’s how you spell it?-] lore and drone type lore- @dronearchetypearchive is where you can find a master list on the various drone variants, and even submit asks and ideas about the current ones and even new ones!
Anygay’s, here’s the planets, their base description, and all the links to the various lore bits so far! [planet 2 is unnamed because I haven’t built up for lore it/idk if there’s any drone variants that need a home still that don’t have one-]
COPPER-9
a cold and snowy planet, labeled a false ice planet Copper-9 is more so Arctic cold versus inhospitable cold, as trees and plants can survive, and recently, due to Solver made organic matter, animals have began returning to the planet. Copper-9 has a steady population of base model Worker Drones, and is home to the last three remaining members of the nearly entirely extinct Unnamed Disassembly Drone variant, along with also being home to the endling member of the almost completely extinct Security Drone species, a species that is neither Worker nor Disassembler but instead its own unique drone subspecies, and it’s not the only unique subtype, Copper-9 is also home to the few members of the Savior Initiative Drone subspecies. Copper-9 is a mere 5 on the deadliness scale, sure it’s Arctic cold and toxic atmosphere provide a challenge, but simply bring along a cold proof spacesuit and a gas mask and your good, remember to get on the good side of the locals though!
Lore Links: WIP, none done so far
FENRIR-8
A seemingly inhospitable and harsh true ice planet, Fenrir-8 is so cold and windy that it cannot support wildlife or plant life, making it impossible for humans to live here-, however, the human created Helwinter drones thrive here, as do any other cold weather drones, working the factories and manufacturing plants that reside here hat were built to take advantage of the planets natural resources, although most Helwinter drones are pretty relaxed about their work, their very chill, pun intended-. Fenrir-8 is a 7 on the deadliness scale, you can survive it with the right extreme cold weather gear and vehicles, but without it, your ass is grass!

LUCIFER-7
a fiery and angrily hot planet, Lucifer-7 can reach up to 150 degrees minimum, on a good day!, still, it’s where the hyperactive Salamander Drones make their home, finding quite the satisfaction in keeping the massive factories running, even after humanity’s extinction. Lucifer-7 being a fast-mine planet means its core produces metal and slag and oil at a fast rate, allowing it to support its drones, who have quite the speedy metabolism due to the intense systems they have to have in order to survive in the sweltering heat-, Lucifer-7 is about an 8 on the deadliness scale, which earns it the title “Hell Class”, it’s very hot and inhospitable, but, if your insane, and willing to stay in your fridge like spaceship, you’ll be able to survive, kinda-, just expect to suffer burns and dry skin from your stay-

CHERNOBYL-6
a highly toxic and radioactive planet, Chernobyl-6 used to be a normal planet, aside from the tons of Nuclear plants and factory’s that dotted it that humanity used to power visiting spaceships and any batteries they needed charged, and then, a simultaneous meltdown and detonation of these plants and factory’s, initial or not is unsure, released enough radiation and nuclear waste that the planet went from a 2 on the deadliness scale to being one of the deadliest planets that humanity knew!, still, there were resources to be had, and clean up to be done, so humanity built Reactor Drones and sent them on their way!, now these poor drones toil on after the extinction of humanity, unaware that humans are gone and they have a chance to lead normal life’s if rescued off the plant-, the Reactor Disassembly Drones know, oh they do, pinging out into space and into the Solver System for the Solver Mother to save them, oh save them, save them please. Chernobyl-6 is a 10 on the deadliness scale, making it a “Death Class” planet, it’s impossible for biological life to survive here, so don’t try-

BISHOP-5
a green planet similar to Earth, Bishop-5 is known for its fauna and wildlife, which are similar to the fauna and wildlife of Earth in the past, versions of extinct animals, such as Tasmanian Tigers and Direwolves, thrive here, along with even raptors and some other species’ of dinosaurs-, sure their not quite the same animals, but they sure are similar! Bishop-5 is a mosh pit of drone types, boasting the only living population of any version of the Watchmen Drone variant, although its Watchmen Disassembly Drones and not the extinct Watchmen Worker Drones, among many other types of drones-, due to being the closest to Copper-9 in the system, the Wayfinder’s of the two planets often relay messages between, and Bishop-5 supplied the ships that Uzi and her team used when visiting Chernobyl-6 and rescuing a half dozen of the Reactor Disassembly Drones trapped there-, Bishop-5 truly is a trade center, being friendly to anything none hostile, with big yet accessible and disability friendly cities and even huge harmful sunlight proof glass domes over Disassembler and Solver friendly sections of the city!- Bishop-5 is firmly and truly a 3 on the deadliness scale, and the 3’s only there instead of a 2 because of the fauna and wildlife being a little bit dangerous to humans and biological life from other planets-

COLOSSUS-4
a rocky and dusty planet formally used for trash disposal, when humanity’s Gladiator dreams grew big, they sought to build great arenas, a challenge on the already packed Earth, so they simply did a tiny bit of terraforming on Colossus-4 and called it a day-, now, after humanity’s extinction, the drones still run the arenas and rings and leagues, more so for the thrill of it now instead of humans urging and management. Colossus-4 is a 4 on the deadliness scale, it’s possible for humans to live here, but I’d advise gas masks and skin protection, the dust and the remaining trash from the planets early days are health hazards!-
a mysterious planet, few come to it or come off of it, leaving its secrets shrouded in mysteries, the treasures in the ruins dotting all over its surface left untouched, the deadly and dangerous songs ringing for miles both deterring any passing ships and calling them to a false-home and empty promises, all led by the deadly giants that roam, slowly moving across the dead and dying former green planet, long necks stretched up high, maws open in “song”, whip like tails destroying buildings, helping the planets slow decay, as the planets and meats and products left behind by the humans rot and decay, forming a biohazard of the wasteland worse then the Bavarian Meats or Mexia abandoned market mess-. Lethe-3’s deadliness scale before humanity’s fall was 2, as it was a green planet akin to Earth and was used as a spare Earth, however, after humanity’s fall and the appearance of the singers, the planet’s deadliness scale has jumped up to 8 just from the sheer hostility of its biohazard like landscape and the aggressive drones roaming it.

Cumulonimbus-2
One of the largest planets in the system, the surface of this rock is constantly battered by endless storms and torrential downpours. There are few places that are safe from this hazard, mainly the small but deep oceans that dot the planet, and the extensive cave systems that run throughout the depths. However, although these are the only safe places, various drones placed here by both humanity and the Solver (mostly the Solver) have settled into these cracks, and made them rather dangerous, which overall increases this planet’s deadliness level to an 8. There are still safe areas you can find if you know what you’re doing.
It should be noted that due to the hostility of the planet, the humans used it strictly for either mining it’s massive rocky structure chock full of valuable materials, or utilising the strong winds for alternative energy. Though once the solver-based drones arrived, any humans were quickly killed, the empty mine shafts and abandoned wind farms becoming their hunting grounds.

Alexandria-1
Once a very barren plant, this used to be just a hunk of rock, nothing here, and was formerly named Slate-1, however, after Ember settled on the planet, huge libraries were quickly built up, and the power of the star trapped within the Dragon’s chest started to give life, causing the planet to slowly recover, sparkling rivers of water rumored to have healing properties, glimmering trees with strange fruits that gleam like trees growing from them, a sky so clear you can see every last star, aurora borealis’ so vibrant and colorful that they put the Earth’s ones to deep shame. Alexandria-1 is a 1 on the deadliness scale, no predatory animals exist and it’s only two inhabitants are more focused on each other and tending to the stores of knowledge, and the air and water is remarkable clear and healthy, and no poisonous fruits are known to exist, Slate-1 was a 10 on the deadliness scale, a “Death Class” planet where life was impossible due to its complete lack of atmosphere or fauna or water of any kind-

So, @nemoofunknownparadigm made this post about Helwinter drones- and I let my brain run for a fair bit while thinking about the Disassembly Drone version of this variant-
so, allow me to introduce you to: Helwinter Disassembly Drones, the waiting predator
They don’t fly because the air high up is colder, plus, it’s easier to gun them down up there, the wings remain because gliding is necessary sometimes, and the appendages help with swimming- yes, these fuckers are good swimmers-, they can and will crack the ice and slip underneath, following their prey from below, before shattering the ice underneath the unlucky soul and dragging them under-, these guys are capable of holding their breath for around two hours, and their fur and chub protect them from the cold water, so your best bet if you think ones underneath the ice and stalking you is to run, you cannot risk trying to outlast them-
Albino’s are completely blind or nearly blind, due to the Albinism code impacting the Helwinter DD’s already poor eyesight-, however this isn’t a problem for them, sight isn’t really useful in the constant blizzards of their home planet, a true ice planet known as Fenrir-8, which is the home to most of the Helwinter drone population, both Worker and DD-
very cuddly and social babeys, if your in their good graces, their practically a teddy bear!, most are actually big softies like N, they only hunt because they know little less, if they knew they didn’t have to do that anymore, they’d definitely relax and enjoy not fending for themselves in the ever-blizzards-, due to their borderline docile nature, if not hungry or feral, they won’t attack Helwinter Worker Drones, and even will sometimes lead lost ones back to their colony’s, earning Helwinter Disassembly Drones the worker known nickname of “Guiding Angels of Death”-, their large packs might seem fearsome, but they rarely go on rampages, simply form cuddle piles that purr fiercely enough to rattle your teeth and alarm passerby, and despite their ridged claws, they know how to knead safely, so they often can be caught “making biscuits” against their pack-mates sides-
They actually have better cooling systems then most Disassembly Drones funnily enough, due to how long they sometimes have to wait before getting fresh, non frozen oil, they can sometimes go hungry for stretches of time that would’ve caused a different subspecies of Disassembly Drones to overheat-, so, their cooling systems function better so they can go longer without oil, even if their in a bitterly cold environment where cooling down isn’t the issue, it’s warming up that is!-
animals I feel like they would have traits from:
Wow, this yap got long- XD-, I plan to do Salamander Disassembly Drones next, but after that, idk which I’ll do-, if Y’ALL want to see a specific not yet touched on DD variant of Nemoo’s explored, just tell me which one and I’ll take a look-
[@abyssalshade pssttt- I think ya might like this- :3]
I had a idea for a disassembly drone variant N's probably shared his love for dogs with Cyn and she has probably seen werewolf movies so why not make N a dog, sure the dog might be a werewolf drone that might carry a virus can turn any non disassembly or solver drone into a werewolf drone but it's still a dog. The werewolf drones would also be programmed to like N and if you include the virus that programming is in it too.
Disassembly Kill-Model
[+++Warwolf+++]
Dogs, the favorite animal of Cyn's brother, N. So often he would share his love for those beasts by reading to her from books detailing the many breeds humanity created over the millennia. Their feral counterparts, the wolf, was inspiration of many legends, with the most famous being the werewolf, a monster who is both man and wolf. The beast was featured in a few of the horror films Tessa adored so much. It was no surprise, that with all familiarity she had with the animal, that the little Solver Host was inspired to create a disassembly model based off of them, the warwolf.
Warwolves are massive, their frames upscaled to fit in the overabundances of eldritch flesh and synthetic muscles needed to create such an efficient killing machine. Their legs were styled after a dog's while their arms are more like that of a standard disassembly drones with exception of the fact that they are far longer and their fingers are tipped with wicked claws. Warwolves are more inclined to quadrupedal locomotion, only standing on their hindlegs when handling objects that require finer manipulation. Their heads are in shape of a wolf's, with a long snout and packed with razor teeth. They have two standard eyes, but they lack the crest of eyes on top of their heads, instead those additional eyes run along the lengths of their necks. They have tails but they do not end in stingers as they more there to provide additional balance and control when sprinting at high speeds. They have more hair than the average disassembly drone, their heads are covered in it, with a long mane running down their backs.
Warwolves are designed for raw strength and unyielding brutality, capable of running down their prey at speeds exceeding 150 mph. Warwolves are never alone as they are deployed in packs numbering in upwards of 20 members. They are devilishly clever, working in tandem with their packmates to track down and hunt worker drones. Often chasing prey into choke points or into traps that were set ahead of time.
While strength and speed are strong points of the warwolves, they have a number of abilities to draw upon to further enhance their killing efficiency. To accommodate their cruel musculature, warwolves are completely unarmored, to the point where their muscles, both flesh and mechanical, are exposed. This weakness is covered by their overactive nanite repair system, which allows the warwolf to recover from crippling blows in a matter of seconds. This repair factor can be neutralized with the application of incendiary weaponry. Warwolves are capable of generating a high amplitude howl that can crack concrete, shatter glass and knock worker drones to the ground. This effect is compounded the more warwolves that are a part of the howl. One insidious ability they possess is the ability to mimic the voices of their past victims, this is mainly used to disorient prey using a choir of the dead or to lure drones away from the group by pretending to need help.
Yet, their worst trait is the viral nanites which spreads through their bites. Should a drone survive an attack from a warwolf and even if they make it back to their colony, it's already too late. The viral nanite within the warwolves' saliva begin to replicate, hijacking nearby nanites and converting them. This continues until the drone's nanite repair system is fully corrupted, and this is when the change begins. The altered nanites attacks the drones from the inside, warping them into a distorted mockery of dog and drone, the sheer agony of the transformation sends the drone into a frenzy, attacking everyone around them.
Warwolves are very social. Often playing, napping and chatting with their fellow packmates. Within the programming of every warwolves is a memory of the Solver's favorite plaything, Serial Designation N, should a warwolf ever encounter him they immediately accept him into the pack.
So- I did thinking- and realized I’ve never explained the base I go off of when doing the designs for DD’s and Solver’s!-, and since my first Solver design is planned to hit System Ten soon, I figured I might as well explain some stuff-, basically, me explaining the “biology” for DD’s for several paragraphs lol- I’ll first go over the base, using the DD trios variant, and then I’ll go over the most extreme/different from the base DD variants!
[DD variants here have lore built up by both me and @nemoofunknownparadigm , and some of the bits and pieces here are inspired by @sicksucculentz ‘s posts!]
Disassembly Drones [Caedes Fucus]
capable of reaching heights anywhere from six to seven and a half feet, Disassembly Drones tend to be larger then their Worker counterparts, but they bear a cat like skeleton, allowing them to squeeze into any spot their head can fit in, a useful feature for a predator designed to hunt and kill.
they bear a more twisty and bendy spine then expected, partly because of their tails, but also because it allows them to rest in a quadrupedal stance with no issue, their necks can angle upwards more then a humans can, allowing them to have an upright head even when standing on hands and feet.
Being loud and confrontal predators, when chasing they can reach speeds that would make a cheetah jealous, and their fused to the fingertip claws both grip ice and snow with zero issue, and hold onto prey without worry of tearing out a claw or losing their grip., they tend to fight more in a cat fight like style, tussling and clawing at opponents, using their sharp fangs to puncture armor and their claws to grip, while they use their claws a lot, their teeth are their best weapon. They also will use their tails to whip crack at opponents faces, or to hit their opponents to stun them, their nanite acid is more so a last option, as should the opponent break the needle tip off while it’s embedded, acid will spill out, often times harming both DD and opponent.
their tails at a base level are a sturdy cable with a hollow channel in the middle, through which nanite acid runs through, it pools inside the “syringe”, which is more so a very fancy scorpion like Barb of sorts, the needle is barbed and its blade serrated, in order to cause maximum damage, and to make sure if they pull their tail out, it’s on their own terms-, the tail can function just fine at this base level, however it’s numb and somewhat feeling less, leaving it easier to accidentally injure, a healthy DD will often times have a thick layer of synthetic muscle like silicone fat packed around the tail, through which nerve cables run through, giving the tail feeling along with making it harder to server, as it’s a fat storage area the tail tends to bulk up first, however its powerful and strong, and doesn’t loose speed even when bulky. It is strong enough to comfortably support a DD’s full weight, allowing them to comfortably sleep upside down, as to help avoid any unwanted ambushes while asleep.
Their wings are often times huge, being larger then they are tall, however this is not for feather surface area/lift, as their feathers are more so decorative, since the ion thrusters located at each elbow are what really does the work. Instead the wings are large for intimidation purposes, and so there’s more of the razor sharp edged feathers to attack with if need be. The ion thrusters are incredibly powerful, allowing mid air hovering, and also allowing them to lift off the ground without their build having to be light or sleek, instead their built to hold onto weight, as their regeneration systems benefit from having excess materials to pull from, as a consequence their ion thrusters are designed to be able to lift them off the ground no matter what. The ion thrusters also act as eye spots in dark places, allowing them to appear bigger and more dangerous then they actually are, since even these beasts aren’t the apex top of the chain predators-
Each individual has a unique scent to them, which smells off or stinky to Workers, and can trigger the prey drive of a Solver, but smells just fine to them, they recognize each other by these scents, and will mark objects and people by rubbing against them, which basically puts a neon sign of “FUCK OFF” on the marked area, keeping it safe-, DD’s that have known each other for a while/are of the same Squad, tend to have at least one matching note to their scent, with twins tending to match in the underlying notes and only differ in the main/loudest note.
They tend to live in packs, being pretty social, and they actually will commune raise pups sometimes, with trusted pack members caring for the young while the parents go hunt. Packs are family units first and foremost, there’s no “Alpha” or “Omega” bullshit, instead the pack tends to be run by the Dam and Sire, aka the eldest mated pair, who act sort of as the parents of the group. Squads are more tight knit, within a pack there’s often times at least one Squad, as for what they are, a Squad is a group of siblings within a five year age range of each other, although occasionally cousins will form Squads. Squads are bonded to each other, and live and hunt alongside one another, unlike most siblings these guys don’t care how old they get, they remain on good terms and affectionate with each other, in extreme cases they will break apart due to negative circumstances, but a Squad is far more likely to disband from a death of a member. [J, V and N are a Squad!, at least, in my AU-]
while it varies from variant to variant, they tend not to process most organics well, meat is fine enough, although too much will give one a stomach ache, but other organics can cause issues, and some, such as honey, are deadly and will cause the drone equivalent of lockjaw/tetanus for the afflicted DD. Their casing also tends to alter depending on diet, rust and slag oil tends to cause dull and mottled casing, steel and iron and the like tends to just leave the casing as it’s normal shiny creamish white self, while gold/silver/copper will often leave streaks of itself across the casing in patterns, each one unique to the DD!
being high energy predators first and foremost, they are very hyperactive, but also very sleepy, like if you mixed a cat and a dog-. treadmills are their beloveds-, they also have a pretty high prey drive-, and will chase you if you run, and run if you chase!, wagging those little tails as they go, having great fun-., adults can and will be dramatic about being “defeated” in play fights or ambushes, since it encourages cubs, and gives the adult an excuse to be a drama queen.
Two sifferences based on variant [doing this a bit briefly since I go over each in more detail on their own posts, and I only did two since I already wrote the rest of this post out, and am spent with writing this TwT-]:
Helwinter: wings are underdeveloped, with fused feathers that allow for easier swimming underwater, their thick layer of blubber like silicone fat, combined with their fuzzy synthetic fur, helps them keep warm in the icy dead zone that is Fenrir-8. Salamander: extremely altered cooling systems, they overheat easier then their counterparts, but even a Standard Worker overheats easier than them!, they lack wings since it’s of no use to them in their environment.
So, @nemoofunknownparadigm made this post about Preacher drones- and I let my brain run for a fair bit while thinking about the design of this drone-
so, allow me to introduce you to: Preacher Drones, the living signal towers
Preacher Drones are animalistic mechanical marvels, the sheer size and power of these beasts make them nearly impossible to kill, and perhaps it’s a good then their no more intelligent then a horse, as a beast of their size with human like intelligence could be unstoppable-, despite seeming too, they do not actually command their Fanatics or the three Disassembly Drones that guard them, instead they depend on these drones to both protect them and provide for them, as the way they have to manually fed oil via directly accessing their oil tanks through a hatch means they cannot feed themselves and thus cannot survive on their own-
they live for singing and seemingly only singing, and their docile and almost sweet nature suggests they are not aware of what their song nor their Fanatics do-, it was theorized that they could be tamed if if you could disable their song, but this was considered false and a load of bullshit, until Zero accidentally proved it true-
Zero, “the walking home”, is the one and only tame Preacher, with disabled vocal systems and a welded shut mouth, he is unable to sing, and without his systems constantly focused on singing, his personality actually shines through, as he is able to focus on stuff besides working endlessly and singing-, he was originally accidentally shot in the neck during a testing of an extremely powerful explosive, the weapon was never meant to hit the Preacher Drone, who had simply been passing by at the time, but it did, downing the huge behemoth and leaving him mute and wounded, his guard trio, O, H and K, originally fended off any efforts to scout and see what had happened, but they eventually accepted help when Zero’s wounds began to rust and they realized they didn’t have the supplies to help-, the trio defected soon after when the leader of the sane drones, a Hazmat Worker Drone named Vincent, switched their admin rights so he was their admin-
now Zero is a truly peaceful being, wandering Lethe-3 and carrying the Safe Haven on his back, and allowing the drones he carries to communicate with the Solver System without directly accessing it, as they can simply plug in some cables and get access to what his antenna can access.
