Drone X Pro Canada
The United Nations and drone photography teams have launched a new drone campaign in Canada. The stated purpose of the mission is to reduce drone deaths and injuries. Drone photography, however, is merely part of the campaign. The real goal is to use this aerial technology not only to document events, but to also prevent future drone fatalities. As I write about drone photography, the project is underway.
The Royal Canadian Air Force has been conducting drone missions against terrorists in Afghanistan for quite some time. In Afghanistan, the RCAF has already employed the use of drones to take photos of combat sites. While Canadian officials claim that the drone is being used strictly for surveillance, some local residents are not convinced. According to them, drones are often used to spy on people and their activities. There is even a danger that the drones could end up killing innocent civilians.
So, what does all this have to do with drone photography? When you use a Drone X Pro to take photos, you are essentially capturing the event in a pre-frame position. The camera does not move. You cannot see or feel the presence of your subject. The object cannot be identified and cannot be recognized either.
But you can "see" it all. Drones permit photographer to shoot from great distances. This enables them to capture scenes of nature beauty like you would never be able to do from the ground. Drones have enabled many filmmakers to get close to the action without being in the field.
One of the major issues in drone photography is avoiding injury or mishap. Canadian officials claim that all precautions have been taken to reduce the risk of accident or injury. The two main types of drone photography are remote controlled or RC and autonomous. Remote controlled cameras can move and are capable of panning in any direction. However, they cannot move while the battery is recharged and they cannot remain in a stationary position for longer than about 6 minutes.
Autonomy on the other hand is most often used for film-like drone photography. It means the operator does not have to continuously stay in contact with the aircraft. He can control the distance, pitch and tilt of the drone, and even see what is below him. The only restriction is that he has to remain within the view and lines of sight.
The only downside to this form of drone photography is that the operator will have to know the fly zone in order to take images without risking collision. If there happens to be a collision, the pilot may not be able to react quickly enough to avoid the collision. There are still quite a few potential problems with drone photography in Canada. These problems include snow and ice, cloudy or overcast skies and bad weather conditions.
There are however, some areas where drone photography is allowed and highly encouraged. These include national parks and forests, which are off-limits to most people due to the risk of aerial photography. Another example is the City of Toronto, where by drone photography is allowed in certain portions of the city. This is done especially for events like parades. As you can see, drone photography may soon become a very popular option when it comes to drone photography.
The only problem that I have seen with drone photography over the past year or so is the lack of diversity. Most drone photography images are either black and white or grey and white. This makes them monotonous and boring. In contrast to the more exciting images you would tend to see with a helicopter, drone photography can offer a lot of variety and allow for many different shots. This allows a viewer to take in the scene in a unique way, something that you would not be able to achieve by only using a helicopter.
Of course, like anything else, you get what you pay for. A company like Dronex which offers drone photography for a low price is going to give you a less exciting experience. On the other hand, there are companies like Herp are which take the most professional images possible and are capable of stitching together an incredible amount of imagery to create some of the most stunning drone photography images possible.
Either way, if you are serious about taking photographs with drone technology then you should definitely consider an experience with Dronex or Herp. I have been taking photos using a remote control helicopter for a few years now and I would highly recommend trying it out. It is a blast, I have never had so much fun with my drone photography and I hope that you will experience the same.
