@mattoverse has been busy this year! Check them out for some really cool pedals! #Repost @mattoverse (@get_repost) ・・・ Not enough room to fit all the color/art variations, but this all the Mattoverse Electronics pedals released in the last year or so // #mattoverse #keepatit #makestuff #effectspedals #guitarpedals #stompbox #pedalboard #pedalboardoftheday #fxpedals #dronesynth #synth #synthesizer #handmade #madeinwisconsin #bassfx #guitargear #noisemaker

DIRTY DRONE #23 - haptic drone/noise synthbox
A versatile haptic drone/noise synthbox with powerful resonant low pass filter in recycled wooden box, painted with a grey/black hexagon stencil design. With 6 interactive BODY CONTACTS (two for each OSC.) and 3 FEEDBACK TRIGGERS the lower section of the interface works like a crude ‘keyboard’, with the ‘keys’ being interactive with each other, so depending on the combination of presses and contacts, you get different sounds. There a many possible combinations. The OSCILLATORS have a PITCH control each and the two lower OSCILLATORS 1+2 have a RANGE toggle switch, that selects a higher or lower range and OSCILLATOR 3 has a ON/CUT toggle switch, which in the CUT position disables the TRIGGER 3 and selects a less chaotic sound, but the PITCH control of OSCILLATOR 3 is still active and dials in more subtle changes in sound. The powerful RESONANT LOW-PASS FILTER has a RESONANCE control and one for the CUTOFF FREQUENCY. The end of the signal path is a global VOLUME control. Handmade by GRM for METSÄÄN.
Specs:
Size: 16.5 X 16.5 X 5.5 cm
Output: 6.3mm 1/4″ TS mono-socket
Power: 12V DC (2.1mm socket, center positive, included)
SOLD.
Below is a detailed demo video (of the DD#21, which is functionally identical to this version), explaining all the functions, please watch.

So my lovely droogs, how goeth the Helliday Season? Here’s a digital card from me to yous.
Holidays are fucking hell. Since when has showing your love or appreciation for someone become damn near entirely based on how much money you’re willing to blow on material things for them? The hyper-consumerification of the whole fucking world needs to just goddam stop. People buying shit nobody wants with money they don’t have, and all for what? A capitalist, materialistic shit show. Fucking holidays. Hellidays indeed!!!
Now that that’s outta the way... I’ve built a half dozen or so drone synths up until now. Had the itch to go at it again but wanted to do something different. Hmmmm. Howzabout instead of controlling the pitch of the oscillators with a pot, we did it with photoresistors? These are resistors that change resistance based on how much light they receive, if ya didn’t know. Yeah cool. And let’s use five of those, mount them on flexible metal post-like dealies, and arrange them in a circle pointing inwards, at the goddam tips of a motherfucking five-pointed star, and and and let’s finish the sumbitch by actually drawing a pentacle (pentagram, whatever) on the top panel, and hot-glueing or double-sided-taping a candle holder in the center and run it in the dark off candlelight!!!! So yeah I made one.
I added red LEDs between the vertices of the star and the lines that connect them (in the triangle parts I guess), as you can see. Very interesting. The type of photoresistor I used isn’t one I usualy see. I’m not so sure they produce “musical” results. I mostly lower the voltage sag knob and fiddle with the LFO speed to produce weird rhythmic loops. Very neat thing though. Built it into a semi-vintage cigar box that measures about 25cm a side. Topped the panel with a sheet of 2mm black acrylic (plexi?). Drew the pentacle with Molotow Chrome (and it IS goddam chrome, those markers are well worth the price). You can hear it in action via the links provided in my last post. Fuck yeah. Maybe I’ll fucking summon a bona-fide goddam demon with this thing!

Playing a little with my new toy (Lyra-8) from #somalaboratories and the #korg #volca keys... this thing is lovely 💕 The volca goes into the lyra and uses its strange delays and i play the tunes oscilators (which also goes into the delay section) massive fun and a lot to learn but so far i like it ;-) and I am scratching on the surface of this machine I guess... #fromrussiawithlove❤️ #synthesiser #dronesynth #lyra8
