This is the official Benoit & Sergio remix of Matthew Dear's track Drop Science. This project was very unique for us to work on because he took the acoustic signatures and sounds from thousands of GE machines and worked with their Acoustics Engineer to create an entire original musical composition. We then put our own Benoit & Sergio spin on the track. You can find the original Matthew Dear "Drop Science" here: https://soundcloud.com/generalelectric/drop-science Follow Benoit & Sergio: @BenoitAndSergio
Drop Science by Matthew Dear + The Sounds Of GE by General Electric - http://bit.ly/XsXNj6 - Every machine has its own acoustic signature - a precise frequency that indicates whether that machine is operating at peak performance. GE engineers monitor and record these sounds to perform real-time diagnostics on airplane engines, locomotives, power turbines, and medical equipment. Musician Matthew Dear and GE Acoustics Engineer Andrew Gorton teamed up to collect and compose thousands of audio emissions from the world’s most powerful machines. The result is an original track of music titled “Drop Science.” Watch the documentary of the collaboration at youtu.be/cCUX4dDjhBQ. Follow Matthew Dear: http://bit.ly/XsXNj7
