Black Clover [DROP]
This is about to be spicy. Hello all, and welcome to my review of why I couldn't finish the <Black Clover> manga.
Too long. I think I'm simply not a fan of super long manga. Imo, drags a lot after like chapter 150-ish. I heard that it gets better, but I guess I couldn't push past the hard part.
Insanely shonen. Again, this is kind of a me thing. It's literally 110% shonen with no other genre, besides maybe action which is shonen anyways. "Smash, punch, monster defeated yay! Wait no, there's a new monster- smash, smash, smash, yay! Wait no..." It got to a point where I needed something more to not drop it.
Taking a break ruined it. Once I took a break, it was very hard to get back into, mostly because I forgot the point of the story & lost my flow. Often with long manga, it's over once you lose your flow, unless it's really good of course.
When did I drop it? Around chapter 200 (μ_μ)
Rating: 7.5/10 then it goes downhill
I'm not saying that <Black Clover> is not worth it. I enjoyed it a lot for a while, especially the first hundred chapters. But the story dragged for too long sadly. I think there are better shonen series out there.
