that’s the order

of the end.

 Through my windshield

my world wound

down.

 Across the yellow bonnet

my golden state

turned brown.

 Above the road read,

“serious drought”

for a fifth year.

 I stood mountain top

at how far man had

come. Coming to

 a close out west.
