Thousands of demons had crept out of a hellmouth. In the air was a dark portal that demons were pouring out of. Yupio Jr, Daniel Skye, Chigaru, Jake Tsurugi, Chie Tsurugi, and Kurai Shokubutsu were the only six people on earth equipped to handle this war, and they were prepared to fight till there was only one left as long as none of their enemies remained. The demons were awaiting them.
Jake and Chie stepped forward.
"Demons, leave now in peace, or face the burning judgement of our blades!" They yelled in unison, Repeating it in Japanese, German, Spanish, French, and Russian.
A charge of demons blasted out from the crowd, claws bared. Eighteen of them initially to take on the six as the rest of the devil's battalion crowded around to watch it like a sport. Daniel was the quickest to react, giving a vicious elbow to one of the demons' neck. The other two were on his sides, he grabbed them by their arms and broke them as he pushed them in front of him. With the three lined up he made a wide right swing and slammed his fist into the ground. A tidal wave of fire shot out and incinerated his opponents as well as some of the crowd. Jake and Chie stood back to back, and cleared out their demons with two wide slashes. Chigaru rapidly touched all of their foreheads with his index and middle fingers. As he snapped, they all burst into flames. Shoku flailed around as though she was drunk and managed to kill them all in her madness. Junior put his hands in his pockets. One came directly in front of him and he kicked that one in the chin. He picked him up and powerbombed him into the two demons behind him.
"These demon guys you've been hyping up are chumps!" Junior proudly proclaimed.
"Those are only class threes at best," Chie said, "Once some classes above six come in, we might start having trouble."
"Psh! I can handle any of these idiots!"
What Junior was saying was not wrong, Chie thought. Their new allies in Junior, Daniel, and Chigaru were far more powerful than any normal humans. Chigaru alone was exactly twice as powerful as Akuma, the strongest demon they ever faced. No it would not be tough for them, but she knew they never had to face swarms of powerful enemies before. Could they have the stamina to face all of these monsters?
The battle raged on. For twenty, thirty, forty minutes it continued. Chie's fear was becoming reality. What they had in raw physical power they lacked in stamina. Daniel, while not the most powerful in terms of energy, was the brute force of the power trio. His power was decaying fast. Soon Junior followed, and even Chigaru showed a noticeable exhaustion. The most worrisome part was that now Jake, Chie, and Shoku were starting to slow down. Their training was specifically tailored to lasting in long battles, but this was taking a toll on all of them. There were at least twice as many demons than the 2020 hellmouth, or at least it seemed like it. They were all fighting five or more at once. Many of those brave enough were class seven or higher demons. The brawl was not all they had to worry about. The demons all had powers and abilities. Some controlled fire, water, grass, air, and all the other elemental powers. Some were psychic like Chie, others had super strength or super speed. There was even one who could control the blood within his own body, and another who had tentacles. One by one they all fell, each enemy being exponentially more difficult to take down.
Daniel was nearing his end, he would have to flee eventually. Getting killed by cannon fodder was not part of the plan. He vowed to keep fighting though, until he could not possibly go anymore. He saw a gray stone demon, class 8. It had tall blonde hair and golden eyes. Daniel punched at the demon, but his punch was caught.
"You need to rest, you're straining yourself sir," The Demon said.
He disappeared into the sand. Daniel pondered why exactly the demon said that, but dismissed it as more demons came at him. He tried attacking them, but they sank. All of the demons on the ground were dragged under the sand by some unknown force. The ground shook, and everyone headed for a grassy hill.
"I can never trust a human to do a demon's job can I?"
The ground erupted. From the beach rose a gargantuan sphere of sand. The stone demon from before levitated it above him. The sphere began to shrink. The sand was compacting into stone from the pressure. The Stone Demon flung the boulder miles off into the ocean. He was thereafter immediately glomped by Shoku.
"SUNAAAAAAA!" she yelled as she pounced on him like a tiger.
Jake and Chie went down into the crater. Jake motioned for the other three to come down as well.
"This is an old friend of ours, Suna," Jake said.
"Hello. I apologize for not coming earlier, but I was in Moscow, and the flight took a bit longer," Suna explained.
"He's how we know so much about demons."
"And he's also the most kickass member of the team!" Shoku interjected.
"Remember that time you punched that guy's sword and kicked his ass with it shoved straight up your arm?" She asked.
"Yes, I remember. But on to more pressing matters. There is but one more demon left here, the one we are all out to kill."
"So how do we plan on doing this?" Daniel asked.
"Well, the only people able to defeat him are you and your Egyptian friend."
"Chigaru."
"What can only be labeled as a class ten demon actually far outshines it. If the ranking system went that high, he would be a class twenty. You both need to rest so that you are in a better condition to face him."
"Right, it would be better to rest up."
Daniel could barely walk, he slouched over to a grassy hill and passed out under it. Chigaru began to meditate.
A mile away, levitating in the air was Apepmesses. He watched the ordeal with excellent vision, and found amusement in it. The boulder of demons Suna threw headed straight for him. He extended his right index finger, and the boulder shattered from its own force against his immovability. The crushed and broken demons flew out, and stained the ocean. He smirked, and began to fly towards the beach.
