when fatou told kieu my she was beautiful, you could see kieu my shut down for a second expecting fatou to talk about her looks, and then fatou started talking about all these other things she’s noticed, because she’s paid attention, and she’s saying all these things that show that she actually knows kieu my, and you can pinpoint the moment when kieu my understands when she looks up and something in her eyes breaks open, curious, eager

My take for now is that Ava can tolerate Constantin in her vicinity because they both have an understanding that they don't really care to engage with each other. This differs from the tension between Ava and Ismail because I think there's a high probability that they actually shared a close friendship at one time. They're both clearly harboring unresolved feelings about how terribly things went down and because of the nature of their shared history they would need to have a direct conversation in order to move forward one way or another.

I really hope we get to the bottom of this! It's been a very long time coming.

Few thoughts about today's episode

1. I didn't noticed until now that Ismail had their nails painted in the clip and I support it (that doesn't mean I forgive them for the things they did)

2. I feel so bad for Fatou, first the teacher telling her that she gets a "blauen Brief" (which I know SO good, my teacher told me this a half year before I was supposed to graduate and it was so hard for me because the whole time I just thought about how I won't get my degree) and then her boss? telling her that there are missing 50€ at her work.

3. I think that there are going to be some problems at her work, I dont know why but Karin doesn't give me a good feeling. Also she said "Das geht so nicht" what sounded a bit idk angry? for me although it was only through text. But someone said that Karin didn't pass the vibe check and I can just agree with it.

4. KIEU MY IS CONFIRMED TO LIKE GIRLS???? AHHH

Okay, but I can’t be the only one thinking (at least I did when they first brought it up in that staircase scene) that the “deeper meaning” David said the alien stuff had at 2nd glance could be related to feeling alienated/like a stranger, possibly in one’s own body or in a wider sense in this society? I know it looks like silly content we’re getting now, so of course it could just be that, but… did no one think that? It was another one of those little things that made me go “Oh?” Especially with David telling Matteo in Sonntag 10:53 how he’d always felt “fremd” = like a stranger. Idk, that’s just where my mind went originally.
