Also BB said it themselves below.. ... “A genre HEAVILY inspired by the culture!” That is why ppl are looking at idols to speak up. We wouldn’t have some of these groups/concepts without black ppl...so when our people are hurting ppl have a right to be a little upset if groups or artist stay silent. That’s wat it comes down to outside of the fact that it’s just common sense that ppl should be treated fairly regardless of skin tone or race!
There’s more but I could only do 9! I did wanna show some positivity since I vented days ago! It’s not even about the money just speak the fuck up...it’s a good feeling to know it’s being aknowlged! Sorry but I’d take courage in regards to speaking up over money ANY DAY! Money will fade, but your words live for years...It takes a lot of balls to make a political stance so if you do it 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
CL, Tiffany young , Jessi, Lee Howon, Jhonny NCT, BM from Kard..ughh a member from day6 sorry I don’t know his name! Omg Duh Jae’ 😩😩 Momoland! Fucking Momoland a ACTIVE idol group ...someone messaged me about a new group called “Secrect Number” and one of there members Denise posted on her personal account and I heard her team deleted it or something? These companies should wanna speak up for there artist, this movement affects everybody in some way!
Right Is right, stand for something or fall for any damn thing!
If your favs don’t speak up don’t ask you shouldn’t have to ask just do your part! You shouldn’t need an idol to tell you black lives matter! 😒😑
Moving in silence during a movement is done out of fear, that’s what it comes down too. Kpop IS a business first...one that makes most of its money in Asia...
It shouldn’t take peer pressure for ppl to speak up, but sometimes it does....
Update: To the ppl asking me to adjust this now that other groups have spoken up...no. I don’t doubt the members mean what they said however the labels waiting damn near 10 days to make a public statement. In my opinion THAT was done because they felt like they had to at this point from all the spam they were getting! I don’t blame the members but the labels...nah! It came down to business Vs morals... 🤷🏽♀️
So this post will stay the way it is, for the ones that spoke up before people were “looking” for them too! We know the racial issues within the Kpop fandom, so I also think that plays a huge part in fan’s wanting to hear there faves to address it publicly....as opposed to just silent donations! Also why it hurt some fans that it took so long for them to publicly adress it! This situation also lowkey brings up a very important but slept on issue within the Kpop fandom as well!
This isint a hate post, some of my faves haven’t spoken up/waited to speak up! You can love someone and not love every situation!
