His breathing was shallow and ragged, chest heaving as the now-sunken gem had fully taken root. Drul was resting now, his wounds healing a bit too slowly. The rips and tears in his face were still glistening with his purple blood, his spine injury taking its time healing the missing portion. But, it was over. ...For the most part, at least. He still had much to do after he was healed... Like apologize, for starters. Although it would hardly be enough to compensate the damage he had dealt and the countless lives he destroyed, Drul knew that someone had to take responsibility. His eyelids twitched in his sleep, stirring slightly as if remembering the events that had just taken place.

A Brilliant Tale.
~~~~ @wit-send ~~~~ There once was a guy. Let's call him D. D was a guy that nobody really wanted to make friends with, because he never wanted to initiate it. He was alone for quite some time, doing really nothing much but waiting for someone to talk to him. Not really saying anything at all to spark it, he ended up spending his days just standing around and waiting for someone to walk up to him. D was okay with being alone, but deep down he wanted the friendships other people had and the attention and the interest. He received none, as expected. And D was okay with that. He'd just give up, maybe move on with his life and focus on other things. It was no biggie, really. Until someone approached him. This person, we will call him W. Now, W was a burst of energy, always eager to start new friendships and always being the one who started talking to people. It was just another greeting, nothing too special, but after W talked to D, D felt like his entire world flipped upside down. Someone had talked to him. For once in his life, someone cared. He opened up to W, and shared things about himself to him. His entire perspective had changed on life, and a whole new attitude sparked just from that first conversation. He wanted to talk to people. D talked to W a lot more after that, developing a friendship that some could say was quite a strong bond. They opened up to each other and helped one another out through every trial and hard time. Each time, they got through it with their bond stronger than ever. D supported everything W did, and W reciprocated with even more support. D's entire outlook changed, from waiting for others to talk to him, to taking the initiative. D aspired to be like W, so carefree and jovial. He looked up to him in so many ways. And, he offered as much help he could provide to W when things got rough. He was, and always will be, there for W. /^^\ Wit. This short time I've known you, you have been my bestest friend. We've gone through a lot. However, I'll never forget our first conversation together. You played such a huge role in how I turned out to be... I will forever be indebted to you. I owe you my life, Wit. I understand you are struggling. Far beyond anything I've experienced before. I can't help you much, but know that whatever you do, wherever you go... You will never be alone. You got this, bulbular buddy.

While I may not have been able to do as much as I'd like due to severe technical difficulties, I had a BLAST!!! Thank you everyone so much for making my day SO GREAT!! When I first started out, I wasn't sure if I would even be noticed by anyone. I kept to myself, watching and wanting the kinds of friendships that others had. Flashforward to today, and WOW! I'm so grateful to have gotten to know so many of you, and hopefully it won't stop here! Once again, a hundred million thanks go out for making my birthday the BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!
