there is something about returning home, something hallow, something familiar. ready to swallow me up into a void, and lift my chin up all at once. sometimes, though it’s filled with my things, the space feels like a stranger.
sometimes good things change irrevocably and everything is unrecognizable and yet, there are still good things. goodness isn’t stagnant, isn’t confined to one person or set of people. you will find good things again, even in different faces. it’s bittersweet, the old goodbyes and the new hellos.
