first ever shot at writing please read and tell em what you think 🙏
Seeing as it's taking me so long to finish the next chapter of Another shot of whiskey, here's a sneak peek:
Matt comes to stand behind her, his front against her back, pressing kisses into her shoulder as his hands massage her hip.
His hand moves from her hip, down her thigh to the hem of her dress. Sylvie lets out a quiet groan, causing him to grin against her shoulder. At the start of the night, Sylvie was regretting her decision to wear a dress. In February. In Chicago. But now, with his fingers dancing across her thigh, she thinks it's probably her best decision of the night.
But then Gallo's calling Matt because it's his turn to throw again. His hands are disappearing from her legs, and she lets out a whimper. He pushes himself away from her, a pleased little smirk on his face at the noise she made. He downs the last of his scotch as he approaches the oche. Leaving her standing there frustrated.
And yeah, she checks out his ass as he walks away. He keeps in good shape. It's nice to look at, and her husband is insanely attractive.

Slurred words!
Matt’s cybernetic eyes seemed to dilate somewhat as Kuro was brought up. “Kuro…? He… He’s ‘omething else… He… He means a lot to me… and I mean like a lot… He.. He’s… the ‘irst guy I think I… I actually lo- z z z…” He trailed off and snored softly, passing out in the middle of his drunken confession.
Slurred words
Matt swayed a bit in his seat but managed to keep himself upright. Matt wasn’t a lightweight by any means, but after about 6 glasses, he was long gone. “ ‘idge? They…They’re a thorn in me side… honestly… I.. I… originally… I..I thought theey weren’t really my.. my sister. y’anno? But… They.. they proved it… ‘M glad… I… I missed them. I really did.” He mumbled while holding his drink, looking down into it. “…’M…’M sure dad would be ‘appy we…we found each other…”
Matt sat hunched over at the bar of the Finalizer’s cantina, a glass half full of liquor clutched in one large hand. “Hux’s hair is just... too perfect, ya know? I wanna mess it up.”
Matt sat at a bar stool in the nearly vacant cantina, mumbling almost incoherently to anyone who would listen, “Y’know, a buddy of mine once ran into Kylo Ren on his way to the bridge, and apparently Kylo Ren said that he thought red hair was really attractive. That the colour set something a blaze,” he paused to give a small laugh, “in him that he couldn’t quite explain.”
"Hey, Matt..." came a whisper, words slurring a little. "you're so hot..." ((Ace))
Matt teetered slightly from side to side, a light blush tinting his cheeks from the alcohol in his system, “No, you’re hot.”
