Matt smiled a tiny bit as he read over the letter once more, a hand coming up to his mouth to hide his laughter and brighter smile. Of course they would sign it with that… he knew who it was from, there was only one person who called him Starshine. Folding the letter away, he went off to go find the sender.

To fight off his worries after making closure with Matt by writing a cheesy love letter, after all, he still felt guilty for everything since the Kerberos mission. Especially since he couldn’t sleep due to his nightmares, Shiro was in the training room squaring off with one of the training robots.

His hand sliding with ease through the center of the robot. Letting it slice through the robot like cutting a tomato. He sighed, turning his quintessence off as he heard footsteps approaching. His head turning towards the door. “Hey I know..” he started before noticing who was at the entrance. Obviously not any of his team..but a rather familiar brunette.

Matt stood in the doorway, his eyes seemingly brighter then they ever had been before. “Takashi, I loved it. And well uh... I’ve liked you for quite sometime... when I found out you were coming on the Kerberos Mission with us, I was ecstatic.” He said softly as he stepped into the room, slowly approaching Shiro.

Matt blinked and raised a brow as he looked at the other, he had no idea who the other was or where he even was. The last thing he remembered was... hell he didn’t even remember that. “I’m sorry... am I suppose to know who you are?” He asked while tilting his head, brow furrowed in confusion.

Matt twirled his staff as he stood in front of the drone on the training deck in the Castle. He had minimized the amount of things that would get in his way, so he was only left with his bodysuit and his armour to protect him of course. Letting out a soft breath, he quickly lunged at the drone as it swung at him. Narrowly avoiding getting his head taken off, he quickly swept the drone’s legs out from under it before slamming his staff down against the drone’s chest. Pausing to wipe their brow of sweat, he blinked when he noticed Shiro there. “Oh! Hey Shiro.”

Mason, the other’s doppelgänger smirked behind their mask as they continued their attack on the other, twirling their staff before quickly lunging forward with another melee attack. “If I told you that, it would ruin the surprise now wouldn’t it?”

Matt smiled as he looked into Shiro’s eyes, leaning into his touch slightly. “Mm... You smell of the forest... of the deepest pine trees, of sage and of ash... It’s always a breath of fresh air whenever you’re around.” He said softly while cupping Shiro’s cheek lightly and brushing a kiss against the hand that moved to stroke his hair.

Keith started to eat the food quietly after Matt left leaving him alone to his thoughts. They were mostly filled with trying to figure out anything about the blade that he was carrying, his mother’s past was a mystery and his father never gave any clues about her. A threat was the last thing that Keith was going to be especially since he was in a strange place, he didn’t want to cause any problems for anyone. 

Glancing up at Matt, he gave a small nod “I would.”
