Accidental Confessions
send me ☽ for my muse to drunkenly confess feelings to yours
They’d finally landed on a decent planet, with no monsters, aliens or creeps trying to hit on her. Peri was determined to make the most of it, leaving the Doctor preoccupied with something or other in the TARDIS she’d managed to find a bar, and proceeded to celebrate the lack of danger.
A few hours later, she stumbled drunkenly back to the TARDIS, all but falling in the console room, grinning like an idiot as she spied the Doctor. She swayed unsteadily as she made her way towards him, throwing her arms around his neck. “Doc-terrr, guess what…you’re pretty and I loves you, I really do coz your ma besssht friend everrr”
goodandbeautifulperi replied to your post: “Doctor?” Peri meandered the corridors of the TARDIS, feeling quite cheerful. Of course, the liquor had helped, but when didn’t it? Still, the only thing bothering her was that she hadn’t seen the Doctor in a few hours. She opened door after door until—eureka! “There you are, I’ve been looking evvverywhere for you.”
Peri had the decency to look ashamed for about three seconds, then beamed. “Maybe a little. It was a holiday! ….somewhere. It has to be. And I found whatever that stuff was in that huge room with all the crates. Not a very good hiding spot.”
He looked vastly offended, and he was, regardless of the fact he had no idea what room she was talking about.
"I would have expected you to have the common sense not to get drunk. Apparently, I was mistaken." He paused again, suddenly curious. "What 'holiday' are you celebrating anyway?" It wasn't like there were actual calender days she could refer to, and he wasn't aware that anything worth celebrating had happened aboard the TARDIS of late.
"Doctor?" Peri meandered the corridors of the TARDIS, feeling quite cheerful. Of course, the liquor had helped, but when didn't it? Still, the only thing bothering her was that she hadn't seen the Doctor in a few hours. She opened door after door until--eureka! "There you are, I've been looking evvverywhere for you."
He whirled around, slippered and otherwise wearing only a red silk and gold-embroidered dressing gown, which he tightened the sash of self-consciously when his companion suddenly appeared.
"Peri! Really, I'm going to have to talk to you about certain rules. There are times I'm not going to be available at your every..." The Doctor trailed off, then studied her critically for a moment in silence.
"Er-- Peri. Have-- have you been drinking?"
