The scene: High school romcom, between two teachers! Our newest teacher, a graduate of TFA with an overinflated sense of experience, arrives at a new school and immediately is confronted with their hubris. After a hard, lonely start, they befriend a few other faculty members, especially the junior English teacher, who was the youngest until our protag. They end up chaperoning a school dance together, and after cleaning up they have a ~moment~ and they break into the school pool and have one of those wild n crazy rule breaking after hours nights.

A beatific smile crosses their face because this city, this dirty filthy violent angry beautiful city, they love this stupid fucking city.

Montage of backroom meetings that are compromised by stupidly explicit emails, dudes shaking hands in old money clubhouses, and stock footage of champagne bottles popping, and the ~shocking~ sexual acts of a semi-closeted day trader whose dark ambition was overshadowed only by his excess.

Makes me feel like: the website for a Wall Street-friendly version of a Stefon nightclub.
