Many of you must be behind the times if you have not heard of Nate Silver. He is a statistician who crunches political polls for the New York Times. Back in 2009, he was even named one of the 100 most influential people by Time Magazine. His statistical formulas allowed him to predict which presidential candidate would win each of the 50 states in the recent presidential election.
