Drunk History: Season 1, Episode 5: San Francisco
We don't generally rank things here on "When Happy" but if we did, this is one show that would continually rise to the top. Drunk History is good for multiple viewings the more Happy you are, the more likely you will be to look forward to jokes that you have missed the first time around.
It isn't easy to pick an individual episode, but because we try to do that stuff here, we thought we'd go with San Francisco...
Oh wait, if you don't know what Drunk History is, we will sum it up for you:
It is stories of American History told by extremely passionate and completely inebriated people. These stories are then acted out by famous actors that you will recognize from other shows.
In the case of the "San Francisco" episode, you will be treated to three amazing stories, starring Lisa Bonet, Stevie from Eastbound and Down and Kristen Wiig. Stevie, playing the "rabble-rouser" Mark Twain is the best (as long as we are ranking things)
Why it's great when happy:
Seeing drunk people when you are "happy" tell stories is always fun
Derek Waters, the show's creator, makes an appearance in every episode both as himself and as someone else
These are stories that you know, that you will then think you know better, that you will then forget and probably tell it like you know at some point in your future.
Overall we are just in awe of how a show like this was even conceived much less pulled off with such perfection
This one gets a 5 out of 5 brownie rating!
