seeing as how the both of them work in law enforcement, it’s safe to say they hit it off as soon as they met each other

the ultimate lawyer compliments shuichi on his investigative skills, and he reciprocates. (even if he gets tongue tied)

shuichi is charmed by their accidental use of legalese during casual conversations.

like many others in his office, saihara refers people to the ultimate lawyer. however, he makes sure to only do it every few months since he understands how busy they can get. the ultimate lawyer never forgets to thank him for his thoughtfulness.

the ultimate lawyer met rantaro at an airport where the two talked about the places they've been—be it traveling for work or out on vacation.

rantaro was interested in hearing about their line of work so they spent most of their layover hour answering his questions.

has a program installed that allows him to speak and understand hundreds of languages , so of course he speaks fluent legalese.

he often reads about the various cases the ultimate lawyer has worked on previously.

he allows them to use him as a way to print documents and photos from time to time lol

korekiyo shinguji ♡

similar to rantaro, the ultimate lawyer tells kiyo all about their endeavors across the world.

korekiyo, with his morbid curiosity, asks them about the most gruesome cases they have ever worked on, if any.

not easily unsettled, the ultimate lawyer gives up vague information about a murder case they had tried to solve years ago. they also tell the anthropologist about a few cold cases that have no hope of being solved today.

kaito momota ♡

"that's WAAAY out of the realm of things i'd be knowledgeable about!" is his reaction to them telling the ultimate astronaut that they are a lawyer.

he asks way too many questions all at once and they begin to feel overwhelmed, and quickly switch to asking him about his job.

to which he goes on and on about the new organization he works for that is working towards sending more astronauts to the moon.

the flood of questions about their job stops, but they don't mind listening to kaito gush about how excited he is to start his training.

gonta gokuhara ♡

the ultimate lawyer respected gonta's line of work, and the things he stood for such as protecting bees and other insects at risk of becoming extinct.

they just found it a bit difficult to start a conversation with him while also relating it to his work. they've asked him questions about his bugs before but...found no way to insert any aspects of being a lawyer into their conversations.

they remember that one of their colleagues worked on a case about someone releasing thousands of mosquitos inside of their neighbor's home for a petty revenge against something the victim did.

they recount this story to gonta, to which he responds that he had no idea bugs could be accomplices to a crime.

ryoma hoshi ♡

they met ryoma on a walk home from the office. it was already getting dark outside so they sped up their pace.

they swiftly walked up to where he stood. they certainly did not want to be seen by a potential criminal waiting outside the office building.

“in a hurry?” he asked, not taking his eyes off the ground. they glanced at him. then answered.

“yes but…” they took another look. “is there anything i can help you with?”

the ultimate lawyer knew they were putting themselves at risk of getting harmed by stopping for this stranger. in the end, it was a good thing that they did. the two began to have regular meetups where they told ryoma all about what they did for a living. and ryoma? he was just happy to get to know them.

kokichi ouma ♡

his initial reaction was to stay far, faaaar away from them.

the more they insisted on getting to know him and what his so-called “evil organization” was all about, the more he acted withdrawn.

he made up lies and excuses about how he was so shy, or how he wanted to protect the identities of his friends.

eventually, the ultimate lawyer did some research and found out the worst thing the ultimate supreme leader ever did was cause some mild public disturbances and was told to leave by the police. they rolled their eyes.

all kokichi could do was smile when he heard about how the ultimate lawyer was interested in his antics. “if i get myself in trouble, you have to vouch for me, ‘kay?”
