First new piece in awhile, 6 hours in Procreate and my new Weir headshot is done. The real question is, pink or blue?

// @drweir sent, “ that’s ‘ fun ’ . ”
❛ It is, actually, ❜ Sam began earnestly, fully prepared to launch into an explanation of just how intriguing the discovery truly was. She’d trained herself to catch herself, however, and she brought herself up short. After all, to most, they’d encountered only a problem, one likely to hinder their efforts for longer than they could afford. And that said nothing of how much it would try everyone’s patience before they overcame it. Instead, Sam smiled wryly. ❛ But, maybe only to me. I do have several thoughts though. We’ll figure it out. ❜ She did not add that they’d solved far more challenging mysteries in the past, but her optimism is hard-earned.
“Trust me, you are the most qualified person for that job. Now, last chance to back out, though you really shouldn’t.” He has to offer, of course he does. However, he wouldn’t have asked if he hasn’t been sure she wouldn’t back out of it.
@drweir supports me taking one for the team.
“ you know -- i swear there was a time i could actually read this... ” he shoots her a knowing look before tugging off his glasses with an air of resigned exhaustion. fingers rub frustrated circles over his eyes and he leans back in his chair. strewn across the desk is the current bane of his existence -- a lengthy text, half-translated from the ancient. this one was proving even more opaque than usual -- if that was even possible. “ but that was at least a pot and a half of coffee ago... ” he adds, flashing a tired smile. // @drweir liked for a starter from daniel jackson!
“Didn’t I ordered you to take a week off?” Not that he was actually surprised she wouldn’t listen to him. “I mean it, Elizabeth. Doctor’s order. You’re still not completely fine.”
@drweir seeks salvation. ( elizabeth & carson )
He had spent most of the morning dressing up. It wasn’t the most spectacular costume for sure, just a zombie; some makeup but still in his uniform. It wasn’t much but it was something. There was no way he could hide his disappointment when he saw Elizabeth without a costume of her own. “’Lizabeth, where’s your costume? Or are you waiting for the party tonight; don’t wanna spoil the surprise?”

John receives A LETTER: platonic kiss 💜 👀 signed by @drweir
Of course he would get something for her birthday. Weeks ago, John had found just the right thing for Elizabeth, knowing she would be most delighted once she got it. He didn’t even try wrapping it, though he gave it a try to tie a bow (a mess but it’s there). Grateful as she was, she kissed his cheek, a gesture that actually made him blush just a bit, brushing it of with a lopsided smirk and a scratch at the back of his head. “Yeah, well, Happy Birthday, Liz.”
John receives A LETTER: carry pick them up. signed by @drweir
Finally, he thinks though part of him believes this a dream and not reality. He had never given up hope that they would find Elizabeth, the real Elizabeth. She had to be out there somewhere. After months of research, they found a base, an old replicator base with no signs of life --- except for one. In one of the cryogenic stasis pods they found a weak life signature. To actually see her in it, it took his breath away. He wouldn’t let anyone else pick her up, no, that honor belonged to him. John needed to make sure she is okay, he just couldn’t allow anyone else to carry her. Carefully does he lift her into his arms. “I’ll get you home, ‘Lizabeth.”
