It’s not like Clara set out to be one of the noisiest neighbors it’s just she didn’t really think about it. At her last flat the walls had been thick enough that very few noises broke through them. Now when she played her classical music a little too loud while grading, or made a ruckus whilst in the kitchen she was baking she seemed to be met with a few complaints. Each time she tried to remind herself to be a little more cautious with the noise, but she either forgot or just wasn’t careful enough. At least she was careful to keep things quiet at night.
To the dread of everyone her boyfriend was even worse. It didn’t help that he didn’t quite have control of his limbs. It seemed at least once a week he dropped every pan they owned letting them all clatter to the ground. He also had a mind that was always turning leading him to be up tinkering at all hours unless Clara stopped him. Really between the two of them it was a surprise they hadn’t been kicked out.
One of her neighbors seemed to have found his own way to ignore it. His complaints only popped up if Clara’s boyfriend did an all night project otherwise he just turned up his own music and let them continue on. Their other neighbor wasn’t quite that way. Clara caught him grumbling about them more than once and any time he directly complained to her she gave him a kind and genuine apology and left some sort of sweets in front of his door. There was no proof that he actually got them, or if he didn’t just immediately throw them away, but that didn’t stop her from leaving them. It was the least she could do for driving him mad.

“Well, well, well. What do we have here? Step into my office, Doctor,” Missy says grandly, gesturing widely with a sweep of her hand. There’s no actual office, not that she seems to care either way. “What brings you here?” she asks sweetly, as if she doesn’t already know.

The Doctor’s not surprised, he’s just — actually, “surprised” sums up his feelings towards the sudden appearance quite nicely. Whatever equation he was writing on the chalkboard is forgotten, interrupted halfway through and the last number stretching on in a streak of white as a result of him turning quickly without removing the chalk from the board. “What in—-”
Eyebrows knit together, both in surprise and in frustration. Strangers have appeared on the TARDIS before, but never in a similar manner to this. Judging by the way they’ve made themselves at home, it’s no accident. That doesn’t sit well with him, and once he’s recovered from his initial shock, he greets his visitor with a terse, “Haven’t you ever heard of knocking?”
Q heaves a grand sigh accompanied by a dramatic roll of their eyes. “Oh, but you less evolved sort do go on about it.“ What use does omnipotent magnificence need with knocking? It’s ridiculous! “Why? Obviously I had every intention of coming in whether you answered or not. You should hardly make your guests feel so put upon.”
Still hovering in the air, Q casts a sidelong glance at the math on the board, smirking when they see they’ve interrupted the Doctor mid-task. Good. Q’s attention is back on the Doctor now, dark eyes all alight with mischief. “Always quite a spectacle, seeing one of your lot scuttle out from beneath the dome.”

“I know you’re there.” Clara called pointing her wand toward where her cat was heading. Akhaten had done well to help the newly appointed prefect catch those breaking curfew. “It’s better to come out now than wait for someone else to come and find you. They might not be as nice.”

"You haven't happened to see a cat pass by here have you? She's orange and has a knack for getting herself in trouble. I'd like to find her before she uses up all nine of her lives."
