Rating: 8/10. The album was fun, I love AAF I think they’re so cool and so under appreciated. Though the whole album was pretty much Dryden just complaining about his love life 😭😭 literally every song was about failing relationships or unrequited love or whatever

Most musicians with fluke successes persevere in the face of indifference their consequent work usually gets, unless they somehow end up really really lucky. For example, Alien Ant Farm are still going on. Sure, they did fit the scene of the time and they can ride on the retrowave of the latter, yet I believe their major hit gave them a headache. First of all, the tune wasn't theirs. Second of all, while the piece did show us what they were, this wasn't really all they were. However, the success of the single did give them a career, which they probably wouldn't have had otherwise. Still, I will repeat the question I asked before – how come some can't escape their biggest chartclimber? Then again, how many of these musicians attempt to be like either Radiohead or Carly Rae Jepsen?
