Happy Anniversary to Drylo!! a whole year of being married...

Milo wakes up in a heaving sweat, checking to see if her fiancés are still alive, still there, still breathing still warm still okay. They are, of course - they always are. but after dreams so vidid and real and she can’t help but start to cry - loud, ugly cry - and wake them up.

Davesprite wakes up first, looking worried and sitting straight up before softly touching Milos hand, careful as not to startle her. she eases into the touch, and slowly he pulls her closer, his wings drawn close to him.

Kry wakes up to the heavy sobbing of Milo finally, joining the sandwich hug. Milo snuggles into their front and Davesprite brings his wings around them, and soft purrs come from Kry, a very rare occurrence. Milos sobbing slows to whimpers as she holds her fiancés tightly.

There are nights like these often, and the smith parents are always there for each other. it’s nights like these that remind them why they’re engaged - because they love each other so much that they don’t need words. they just know that they need to be there for each other.

Later on, after some warm milk, everyone goes back to sleep, Milo in their arms, nightmares gone for a little while.

“davesprite, you can’t be swimming that late at night. you either, milo!” kry scolds. his partners are idiots. who swims that late at night? now they’re both sick, sharing the gayest kisses.

they share excuses, but really, kry knows they had a reason, and they dont mind.

kry makes them soup and sits down with them, giving them kisses, not caring if he catches the cold. are least then they’ll have their turn.
