The walls of the cruise creaked at it continued sailing as if what happened within its large metal body was an average everyday occurrence. With the murders happening every day, the passengers were growing weary of the news and tired that the murderer still hasn’t been caught. The captain has yet to dock at land and there couldn’t be that many hiding places throughout the ship yet, dead bodies were found every day, all except yesterday. While some were relieved that the killer skipped yesterday, the fears of others were simply heightened. A murderer doesn’t just stop killing without there being a reason and since the security on the ship hasn’t found him yet, he was still on the loose.
Despite the chilling news on the S.S. Walt cruise ship, some still ventured out, braving the odds that they weren’t the next victims. A set of three footsteps were weaving through the heavy machinery found in the boiler room. After hearing a loud bang, the three students hid within the Employees-Only room in hopes of avoiding the masked monster but they were out of luck for the killer followed them into the burning hot room. Their legs were growing tired by the minute and their sides were aching. It was a wonder how the killer could keep up when their face was covered.
Unable to run anymore, the three hid behind one of the large metal machines, holding their breath. For a split moment, all of them sighed in relief after hearing the heavy footsteps fall past them. The moment didn’t last long. Hands grabbed onto one of the students, pulling them to the iron mesh floor before stabbing them in the abdomen. With a strangled cry, the student ordered their peers to keep running. Not wanting the entire ship to be on alert that the killer was out on the prowl that night, the knife was driven once more into the leg of the disabled student before he lurched forward to catch the other two.
Their hearts beat faster as they tried navigating through the maze of steam and metal. How could one person take on three students at once. But it was true. In a flurry of movements, knife held to their skin, fear in their eyes, it was over. The next morning, two of the mechanics found the single student still breathing even after the heavy knife wounds. Unfortunately, two bodies were not as lucky and were found in the control chamber, asphyxiated
“How could one person fight three people…?"
